00:00And we were driving in a white van, Ford, we thought that was poignant because I couldn't get him in a restaurant.
00:06I'd call a restaurant and I'd say, my guest is OJ and you just hear the phone slam down.
00:12So we did the whole interview for three days in the back of a white van.
00:17He didn't see the irony, but he kept making us drive back and forth past his house.
00:22And then he'd ask me, did I want to know where the knife is?
00:25The whole time he was saying, he was teasing me to say, ask me, ask me.
00:31But I think he was delusional. I don't think he really knew what he had done.
00:35Because at one point he said, as a footballer, he could convince himself of anything.
00:40He could talk himself into winning a game even though he wasn't winning and he could block out everything else.
00:46So I think that's what he did. He blocked out everything else.
00:49But a little bit of his brain was saying, well, OJ, you did it.
00:52Do you have any doubt in your mind, as much as you feel you can say, that he was guilty?
01:04Well, as you were saying, he called me up after I did the interview and it was April 1st.
01:10And he called me up and he said, it's OJ, I did it.
01:14And then he went April fools and hung up.
01:16So, I mean, he was more or less telling me what he had done.
01:21But my friend, Helene Kennedy, who was a QC, said, don't go near it.
01:25Because his agent said, I'll tell you if you get me a job in the UK.
01:30And she said, move away from this.
