The first US models go on sale in the first quarter of 2024.

The electric hatchback starts at $34,095

The 2024 Fiat 500e has been officially introduced and it confirms most of our expectations. The standard electric powertrain sends 118 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. The small 42.0 kWh battery pack provides an EPA-estimated range of 149 miles. Charging a fully depleted battery to 80 percent is said to take 35 minutes when connected to a DC fast charger. The first examples will hit US streets early next year, and the (RED) special editions will each have a base price of $34,095. Highlights of standard features include 17-inch "diamond cut" wheels, a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, full LED front lighting, lane keep assist, rain-sensing windshield wipers and a rain sensor taking. wireless charging pad.

This marks the first time we've seen the US-spec 500e, as evidenced by the yellow reflector lights on the front fender. The (RED) version is naturally finished in bright red exterior paint and has nice-looking black 24-spoke wheels. A low-res image of the interior shows that the color theme continues here, with a red trim piece running from the instrument cluster across the dashboard.

It should feature the same powertrain offered in Europe, consisting of a front-mounted electric motor with 117 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The US version will likely come with the larger of the car's two existing battery packs, which could provide a range of around 150 miles.

Look for December 5 for the 500e's official U.S. launch; We'll probably learn a lot more here. It is scheduled to arrive in the United States in the first quarter of 2024, and other models are expected to be available eventually.
