00:00 Oh, Sturtsley is fantastic.
00:03 I think it's all you want from a city suburb.
00:06 You've got very good connections to the city center, but it's also got the heart at the
00:11 end of the high street, which really doesn't look like anything, has got the best collection
00:16 of bars, restaurants, cafes, a few good independent shops.
00:20 So to be honest, you don't even need to go into the center.
00:23 And the good thing about it all is it's a proper little business community.
00:29 All the businesses support each other.
00:31 They all help each other out.
00:33 They're all glad that they've made it a destination.
00:37 And it's good because it does reflect one of the things that's one of the themes of
00:40 this year's guide, which is that the places that are improving, it's nearly always because
00:45 of small businesses.
00:47 So anywhere that managed to create a supportive environment for, you know, interesting people
00:52 to set up an interesting thing, then those are the ones that seem to be doing better
00:57 at the moment.
00:58 Here in the Midlands, we're absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to great days out
01:02 with millions of Brits from around the country also seeking to spend time here when they
01:06 can.
01:07 While Sturchley, a popular suburb of Birmingham, was crowned one of the best places to live,
01:12 it's also well worth a visit for those of us who aren't that far or even those who have
01:16 to make a longer journey.
01:18 Honorable mentions this year for the Midlands region also included Buxton in Derbyshire,
01:23 Hole and Dorridge in Solihull, Market Harborough in Leicestershire, the Shropshire Hills and
01:27 two Lincolnshire locations at Stamford and Sutton-on-Sea.
01:30 We've had lots of, yeah, we've had lots of past winners and a lot of them aren't on the
01:35 list anymore.
01:36 Sometimes that's just because we like to share, you know, share the celebration around and,
01:41 you know, we try and we cover the whole country.
01:43 So if we had the same places all the time, then that wouldn't be very fair and some good
01:48 places would miss out.
01:49 But some places also miss out because, you know, things change, our priorities change,
01:55 they might get a little bit worse, the traffic might get heavier, the house prices might
