00:00 Well, starting with Liverpool, let's look at Harvey Elliott. I mean, he's had a fantastic
00:08 breakthrough season, you could call it. What's been your thoughts on him breaking into this
00:14 club side and how important has he been to Liverpool's success this season so far?
00:19 Yeah, he's been excellent to be fair to him. I think in a couple of years where, I think
00:27 two years ago he was the start of the season, he was in the team on merit when he was a
00:33 silly youngster and he got that bad leg break and should recover from that. Last season,
00:38 he was just probably a victim of circumstances as well where the rest of the team weren't
00:43 doing very well and he was a young lad and he couldn't maybe stand for authority as well
00:48 as he wanted to. But this season he's been absolutely magnificent, mainly used as an
00:53 impact sub and in the majority of the games that he's come on, he's made a difference
00:58 when Liverpool have needed him. Back to that one at Crystal Palace, I think it was before
01:04 Christmas and then earlier this last week in Sheffield United when he replaced Mo Salah,
01:11 a lot of supporters were probably looking and thinking why he was taking Mo Salah off
01:14 but Jürgen Klopp's decision was vindicated very quickly and then at Man United he comes
01:21 on again, causes problems and wins the penalty against a player like Adam Wan-Bissachar who
01:28 is probably one of the best defensive full-backs in the league in terms of on the back foot
01:33 and it's their time and with his challenges etc, I think real quality is there. And yeah,
01:41 as I say, he's had to be patient and he's got a good attitude because there might be
01:47 some players who would say, I deserve to be starting every week now but he's still only
01:53 21, he's made more appearances than Steven Gerrard did at this age which is some feat.
01:58 But he realises he's at a massive football club and he's still learning, he's still young.
02:05 You look at players like say Gerrard Quantz who's come through and Conor Bradley who were
02:09 I think Quantz is the same age, Bradley's maybe a year younger than him and Harvey Ellis
02:15 who's in his class as a first team regular and you don't really realise how young he
02:19 is and can play in different positions, can play in the midfield, can play on the right
02:25 wing. He was very good when Mo Salah was out at AFCON and then had that hamstring injury.
02:31 He deserves a lot of credit for that, he's got a big future ahead of him. Maybe he'll
02:37 want to nail down one specific position but he might not want to pigeonhole himself by
02:41 the same token. A really encouraging season for Harvey Ellis and you'd be very surprised
02:48 if he wasn't awarded Young Player of the Season at the Liverpool Awards come the end of the
02:53 campaign.
