The limited-edition 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is an all-new supercar with carbon fiber body panels, dry sump V8 with 800 horsepower, active aerodynamics, and a starting price of $300,000.
You’d be excused for thinking these features describe the latest Ferrari or Lamborghini, but they describe the latest Ford Mustang, a street-legal road car that’s track-capable, inspired by Ford’s newest Mustang GT3 race car. Ford says this newest Mustang will lap the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes.
Production will be limited, and potential customers will be required to submit an application for the chance to purchase one. At the 2024 New York International Auto Show, Mustang Brand Manager Joe Bellino reveals more about the Mustang GTD and what Ford is looking for in the application process.
