Army of ladybirds released in Darwin to tackle destructive Mealybug population

An army of native ladybirds has been released in Darwin with the aim of tackling a destructive Mealybug population spreading through the city. Known worldwide as Mealybug destroyers, the hungry critters are hoped to curb pest numbers and prevent them spreading interstate.
