00:00 As the Indian startup ecosystem embraces the power of artificial intelligence,
00:05 NTTB Prophet got down on the ground in a quest to find ventures that are making a difference.
00:12 Meet NeuroPixel.ai, a young generative AI startup based out of India's Silicon Valley, Bengaluru,
00:20 focused purely on fashion e-commerce.
00:24 We traveled to their headquarters and spoke to founder and CEO Arvind Nair
00:29 to understand more about the business.
00:32 AI as a technology is going to revolutionize the way that we do a lot of things,
00:36 including one of the most mundane, manually intensive tasks that happens on a daily basis with fashion brands,
00:42 and that is cataloging all their clothes.
00:44 With AI, we should be able to automate a large part of this workflow
00:48 and also simultaneously give rise to a higher diversity of models,
00:54 better quality images, etc. that boost the customer experience.
00:57 Despite a product that promises considerable reduction in time and costs for fashion retailers,
01:04 NeuroPixel did face an uphill task in convincing their first few clients
01:09 on why AI was the answer to their catalog wars.
01:13 So we were actually doing generative AI before this generative AI wave of the last year.
01:17 But however, given the gestation period that is typical with these deep tech businesses,
01:21 we've only started deploying our solution about three, four months ago.
01:25 And we've been growing at double digit percentages month over month.
01:29 The first few clients were really difficult,
01:33 but now that we've got a few wonderful brands on board,
01:35 it's becoming a little bit easier to sell both domestically and internationally.
01:39 So we're working in Dubai, in Singapore, and predominantly in India,
01:43 but we are looking to increase our focus on the US and EU very soon.
01:46 Unlike India's first wave of startups that took several years to find product market fit
02:00 and settled on a much narrow targeted target market,
02:04 AI startups in the application layer emerging from India,
02:08 such as NeuroPixel, are building from India but for the world.
