Taylor Swift is now officially a billionaire, according to Forbes reporting and valuations. In October 2023, Taylor Swift accomplished a feat no other musician had before: she became a billionaire strictly off of earnings from her music and performances. Three months later, Forbes named television tycoon Dick Wolf a billionaire, too, thanks to his estimated $1.9 billion (pretax) career earnings from producing shows like Law & Order and FBI.

The two entertainers bring even more star power to the Forbes World’s Billionaires list, which has seen an explosion in celebrity billionaires in recent years. Ten of the 14 A-listers on the ranking have become billionaires in the past four years, spurred by entertainers capitalizing on their brand and fame.

00:00 On the flip side, let's talk about some fresh faces.
00:03 Who were some of those newcomers on the billionaires list?
00:06 Because I did look at the list and there are some household names.
00:10 Yeah, definitely.
00:12 You know, there are a handful of famous faces that have joined the list this year.
00:17 Taylor Swift, definitely the most famous of all, but also, you know, Magic Johnson, Sam Altman, as we mentioned, Dick Wolf, the TV producer behind Law & Order.
00:27 And then a lot of people whose names maybe aren't as famous, but the companies that they founded or the brands that they've sort of produced are sort of household names.
00:38 So you have people like Christian Louboutin, who's a fashion billionaire who created the very iconic red-soled high heels.
00:45 Todd Graves, the founder and CEO of Raising Cane's, the fried chicken, you know, fast food chain.
00:51 And this guy William Goldring, who probably nobody's ever heard of, but you might have drank his Fireball Whiskey or Southern Comfort or the more expensive stuff that he also produces, like George T. Stagg and Pappy Van Winkle.
01:04 So famous faces and famous brands are joining the billionaires list all the time.
