1.210 Kg Carrying Capacity, 1.9 L Diesel Engine, 150 Hp, New Fiat Titano Pickup 2024

The new truck is a rebranded Peugeot, but its roots trace back to the Chinese pickup.

Fiat Titano, which has a name coming from Greek mythology, just like Nissan Titan, competes in the same segment with the Ford Ranger. The mid-size truck traces its roots back to the Changan Kaicene F70, a Chinese pickup developed by Changan Automobile and PSA. It has been on the market since 2019 and is produced in many factories around the world and carries different badges to better suit regional markets.

Fiat Titano is available for order in Algeria with a 1.9 liter diesel engine. It delivers 150 horsepower and 258 pound-feet (350 Newton meters) of torque through a six-speed manual transmission. The oil burner has enough power for a maximum payload of 2,667 pounds (1,210 kilograms). In Brazil, a more powerful 2.2-liter diesel with 200 hp and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) is expected to be used.

In Algeria, it can be purchased as a single cabin with a 4x2 configuration and a double cabin with a 4x4 configuration, with enough space for five people. To make better use of the production capacity at the Nordex factory, Fiat Titanos will only be sold as a four-door.

Titano is unlikely to reach the United States. UAW Vice President Rich Boyer recently said the Stellantis plant in Belvidere, Illinois, will reopen to produce a Ram-badged midsize truck.
