00:23 Lancashire Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed at a property in Cone.
00:30 Officers were called to Newmarket Street, Cone at 2.26pm on March 31st, where paramedics were treating a man with a number of serious injuries.
00:40 The man, who has been named as 34-year-old Richard Chamberlain from Cone, died a short time later.
00:47 A 44-year-old man from Cone was arrested on March 31st on suspicion of murder.
00:54 Plans to build five homes on a part of land near to where leisure narrowboats are moored in Wigan's Bridgewater Canal Conservation Area have been submitted.
