Leeds United writer Lee Sobot battles the mower to give his verdict on a 2-2 draw for Daniel Farke's side against Watford at Vicarage Road.

00:00 Hello there, Lee Sobot at the Orchard Evening Post here from Vicarage Road where I'm battling
00:06 with the mower a bit as you'll see behind me, but where Leeds United have left with
00:10 a 2-2 draw which ultimately saw them drop from first place down to second in terms of
00:16 how the division began at the start of play on Good Friday. And a hard one to assess really
00:21 because no doubting that you'd come here wanting to get three points and obviously to stay
00:26 top of the pile after Ipswich's win, but really in the end probably a point not up by the
00:32 result considering the way that Leeds played in the first half, considering that Watford
00:36 could have won and scored more than two goals, considering that Leeds looked very much all
00:39 at sea in the first half, and in the end, I mean Daniel Fark said himself, definitely
00:44 a good point. And I think you'd probably have to agree with that the way that things were
00:48 going this evening, just probably disappointing in the sense that obviously Leeds have lost
00:53 leadership of the division and now sit one point behind Ipswich Town, Yester ahead of
00:58 Leicester City, obviously Leicester's defeat after Leicester's defeat, but Leicester have
01:02 that game in hand. So very much all to play for with seven games left, I mean you could
01:07 sort of say it's out of Leeds' hands now I guess if Leicester get something from that
01:11 game in hand, but surely there will be more twists and turns to come. In terms of the
01:16 game, really disappointing first half, definitely one of the worst Leeds have played in the
01:21 first half under Daniel Farka, and no surprise really when they went 1-0 down, vacuumed Bayeux
01:26 with the goal, Mellier made a good save from Daniel Dennis, but basically just parried
01:30 the ball out to Bayeux, who had a great first-time finish and that was 1-0 and probably, well
01:35 Watford did deserve that, Leeds struggled to get out of their own half to start with
01:38 really until they created a few chances. Then a stunning goal made it 1-1, Chrys Enzi of
01:42 Somerville, we all know what a talent he is and what a goal that was, must be one of his
01:45 best he's scored for Leeds, best ever I would say, one of his best ever, cutting in from
01:49 the left-hand side into the box and just a beautiful corner into the far right corner,
01:53 one of the goals of the season for Leeds. That was 1-1 and you thought that's the platform
01:58 now to go on and win the game, but straight away Watford came back and they peppered the
02:02 goal before they finally did go back in front on the stroke of half-time, through Emmanuel
02:05 Dennis and he just cut in from the right-hand side this time and just too easy, skipped
02:09 past Liam Cooper, drew Joe Roden towards him and fired into the bottom left and it was
02:13 just very disappointing really, 2-1 down at the break. Leeds much better in the second
02:17 half but it wasn't quite the Alamo, it wasn't exactly chance after chance after chance,
02:22 yes they were much, much better but it did very much look like this was going to end
02:27 up in a 2-1 defeat and really, Matteo Joseph came off the bench and was superb and he's
02:31 got to surely have more minutes, what a talent he is, he's obviously got a lot on his plate,
02:36 trying to battle with Bamford and Routier and everybody else up there but he was superb
02:39 as soon as he came on and scored basically with pretty much his first touch of the game
02:43 across from the left and short of strike he's finished and then to put it in 2-2. Even then
02:47 Leeds could have had a winner, Jay Nantney was denied as part of a smart double save
02:51 and that's how it ended, so it finishes 2-2 here, straight back to it at Hull City at
02:55 home on Monday, I suspect there'll be more twists and turns there and you'd hope so,
02:58 it's finished here 2-2.
