00:04 Easter is coming up, it's almost here and for so many people all around the country
00:09 that means that the kids are off school for two full weeks.
00:12 And that of course means that plenty of us need to find two weeks worth of things to be getting up to.
00:17 Of course when it comes to Easter it's all about the chocolate and the Easter egg hunts.
00:22 So we take a look at some of the great things you can be getting up to during the school break.
00:26 There's plenty to do in Cardiff and beyond so we found some of the most egg-citing events taking place.
00:31 We'll start with the classic Easter events with egg hunts taking place at beautiful historic sites all across Wales.
00:41 Both Cadw and the National Trust are getting in on the action this year
00:44 so wherever you are there's definitely going to be an egg hunt not too far from you.
00:48 The striking Llanhan Castle is hosting an egg hunt and gives a great excuse to get the little ones hunting around the castle.
00:54 The event promises plenty of exploring and finding the eggs set all around the beautiful grounds of the castle.
01:00 As they're searching around for the eggs they might even accidentally learn a thing or two about the castle.
01:08 There's plenty of other egg hunts at Cadw and National Trust sites like Harlech Castle where you can meet some real knights,
01:16 Denby Castle, the iconic Tredegar house where an Easter trail follows the lives of two servants
01:22 who lived in the manor almost 100 years ago.
01:25 Across all the historic sites in Wales there's plenty of different things to be getting up to.
01:32 Then in Cardiff itself throughout the whole Easter holidays the St David's Centre will be overtaken by an animal trail across the whole shopping centre.
01:42 Last year they welcomed dinosaurs but this year it's orangutans and lions and pandas that take centre stage.
01:49 And the best part is it's totally free, just pick up an activity pack at the main desk and off you go.
01:54 Brick Live who built the trail say that all the massive structures were built using over half a million bricks
02:02 and when you see them up close you can see how every single one takes hours upon hours to finish.
02:08 The Llanelli WWT Wetland Centre will be hosting their very own Easter activity with a hunt across the whole site.
02:18 Special guests Bing and Flop from the TV show.
02:21 They'll be there to encourage the little ones to get out in nature and try and spot all the hundreds of different species of birds and mini-beasts that call the centre home.
02:30 There are acres and acres of green spaces to explore at the centre so it's a great excuse to get out there and get into nature.
02:38 The Easter events also promise loads of storytelling and craft to get the little ones imaginations running wild.
02:47 Easter is always a great excuse to get out and about with the family so with so much to be doing this year
02:52 there will definitely be somewhere for you and the little ones to explore this Easter.
02:56 Easter.
