Santé Canada a introduit de nouvelles étiquettes pour les aliments et les boissons supplémentés. Ces produits contiennent des ingrédients ajoutés tels que de la caféine, des vitamines et des minéraux. Les étiquettes seront obligatoires à partir de janvier 2026, mais certaines sont déjà présentes sur les produits.

00:04 But did you know that there are supplements on the market for drinks and food?
00:09 These products contain added ingredients such as vitamins, minerals and caffeine.
00:14 Some may pose a risk to your health if they are consumed in too large quantities,
00:19 by an elderly person or belonging to a vulnerable group.
00:23 As of January 2026, all food supplements in Canada will have a table showing the type and quantity of each supplement
00:32 so that consumers can make informed choices.
00:35 Some labels will display a warning symbol with an exclamation mark at the front of the packaging
00:41 to draw attention to the warnings on the label.
00:45 These can tell you that you should limit the quantity consumed or if the product is not recommended for under 14 years.
