00:00 They're running it back.
00:02 The 49ers just re-signed John Feliciano to a one-year deal, according to the NFL Network's
00:08 Peter Schrager.
00:09 And you know, it's a fine move in a vacuum.
00:13 John Feliciano, one-year deal, probably not expensive, knows the system, played here last
00:16 year, was fine.
00:18 He was decent.
00:20 Bring him back.
00:21 He was good enough, kind of, until he got hurt in the Super Bowl.
00:25 So he was good enough for like seven—so bring him back.
00:29 There's nothing wrong with the 49ers' offense.
00:32 There's nothing wrong.
00:33 They're going to bring back all 11 starters from last year.
00:37 Meanwhile, anybody can get in on the defense.
00:39 I mean, they're overhauling that side of the ball because they didn't live up to expectations
00:45 as the number three-ranked defense in the league.
00:47 But the offense, the number three-ranked offense in the league, was just great.
00:52 Even though it scored 19 points in regulation in the Super Bowl and 22 points and five quarters
00:57 in the Super Bowl, it was great.
00:59 And it was three for 12 on third down in the Super Bowl.
01:02 Why overreact to one game?
01:06 Because that's what you do with the defense.
01:08 The defense was good all season.
01:10 You overreacted to one drive of one game, the drive in the Super Bowl, and you just
01:15 overhauled the whole defense, or half of it.
01:19 But the offense is absolutely perfect.
01:22 Don't touch it.
01:23 Does that make any sense to you?
01:25 I don't know.
01:26 It feels like scapegoating.
01:28 It was all the defense's fault.
01:30 You would think the Niners would add one new starter to the offense.
01:33 I mean, sure, they might go offense-heavy in the draft, but are any of those guys going
01:37 to play right away and have the Niners done a good job redshirting players and preparing
01:41 them for the future recently?
01:43 No.
01:45 So I don't know.
01:48 Is the offense good?
01:49 Yeah, it's very good.
01:50 But it wasn't good enough against the best defenses in the league.
01:54 Seems like they're getting figured out a little bit.
01:55 Maybe a new element.
01:56 Hey, maybe they'll trade one of the wide receivers for something brand new in a few weeks or
02:01 months.
02:02 But save that, it's going to be the same exact offense with the right side of the offensive
02:09 line, which doesn't even exist, and all those expensive position players who don't get the
02:15 ball enough.
02:16 Hey, John Feliciano's coming back on a one-year deal.
02:19 Good move.
