Granton youth project sees crime reduce by 80 per cent

Edinburgh chairty, Midnight and Beyond, works with young people in Granton who are most susceptible to gang recruitment.
The transformative project offers young men the chance to try a range of activities from quad biking, camping and paintball as well as find employment and help them identify their skillsets.
Working in partnership with Est Granton Housing Co-operative - the project has seen youth crime decrease by more than 80 percent in the last year and employment amongst 14–26-year-olds increase by more than 50 per cent.
