Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold on where he gets his confidence
Transcript
00:00 >> You're obviously very confident.
00:01 How does that confidence fuel your performance?
00:05 >> My confidence fuels my performance.
00:08 Honestly, man, playing corner, you have to have that.
00:11 And that comes from my granddad.
00:13 So my granddad was a roofer.
00:14 So with that being said, I like to correlate roofing to football.
00:18 My granddad always told me on the roof, TA, he called me TA, Terry on,
00:22 he said, no one's coming to save you.
00:25 So when I'm on that roof, and I'm on that 8-12, 10-12, and
00:28 when it's a high pitch walking up there, you slip on the fiberglass,
00:31 you kind of get a little rocky, get a little shaky.
00:33 You know that if you lose confidence in yourself, you're gonna slip and fall.
00:36 It's the same way with playing corner and being a human being.
00:39 If you don't have that type of confidence to come in and take over a room and
00:42 have that presence, nobody else is gonna have that confidence in you.
00:45 So that's where I get it from.
