Arizona is the favorite but has lost to teams at the bottom of the standings

00:00 Arizona will certainly be the favorite in the Pac-12 tournament, but this is by no means a slam dunk.

00:05 They've lost five conference games, and three of them were to USC, Oregon State, and Stanford.

00:13 Three teams that are at the very bottom of the standings.

00:16 So, this is not going to be a cakewalk for Arizona.

00:20 Cal must win the Pac-12 tournament to get in the NCAA tournament.

00:24 And they're capable of beating any team except Arizona, I think, because of the styles of the teams.

00:31 They just have not been competitive with Arizona, whereas other teams in the conference have been,

00:37 based on a different combination of matchups and styles.

00:41 So, as long as Cal can avoid Arizona, and they would.

00:47 They wouldn't play Arizona until the finals if they got that far, and if Arizona got that far.

00:52 So, they're in the right half of the bracket.

00:55 So, Cal has to beat Stanford, which is a team they just got clobbered by on Thursday.

01:02 And then it would have to beat Arizona State to get to the semis.

01:04 And then it would have to win the semifinal game to get to the finals,

01:08 hopefully against some team other than Arizona, at least from Cal's standpoint, hopefully.
