00:11 the President's overseas trips were defended by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

00:17 On February 28, President Bongbong Marcos flew to Canberra, Australia as a guest of the Australian government

00:26 and stayed until February 29.

00:29 On March 3, he traveled to Melbourne, Australia for the ASEAN-Australia Summit

00:33 and returned to the country on Wednesday night.

00:36 On Monday, he traveled to Germany for a working visit on March 12 and 13

00:42 and to the Czech Republic for a working visit on March 14 and 15.

00:45 This is the fifth and sixth time that the President has traveled this year.

00:49 The country will travel 22 times since the President took office

00:53 for the 84 days that he has been abroad.

00:57 The President has been abroad several times.

01:01 The Department of Foreign Affairs said that this is part of the administration's efforts to advance its goals.

01:07 The President's international engagement is of course in support of his development agenda,

02:05 the agreement is expected to be built to receive 10,000 Filipino workers there each year from May.

02:18 In Germany, where there are 36,000 Filipinos, a joint declaration of intent,

02:23 the agreement is expected to be signed to make the maritime sector of the two countries more important

02:27 and to provide jobs for the Filipino seafarers.

02:30 The DFA also said that the Philippines' invitation to its allies in the midst of rising tensions in the West Philippine Sea is important to take care of and expand.

02:38 These are countries which are like-minded.

02:41 We share values for democracy, human rights, and the rule of law,

02:46 including in the promotion of an open, inclusive, international rules-based order.

02:53 Yes, the President will have an exchange on how both could work together in maintaining an international rules-based order.

03:07 The President will also be able to meet the Filipinos in both countries.
