On this episode of #ConsiderThis Melisa Idris celebrates International Women’s Day by speaking to Malaysia’s first astrophysicist Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Mazlan Othman, Senior Fellow at the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. She has served twice as the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, and in the early 2000s she spearheaded the Angkasawan Programme, which led to the launch of the first Malaysian astronaut, Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, to the International Space Station.
