00:12 I get the sense from being in the press room in these weeks
00:16 and when they actually don't,
00:17 when they actually ask the guys about golf, right?
00:20 You get some really telling remarks.
00:22 The two guys in the press room that were all business,
00:25 very focused, love where their golf is at,
00:27 is Willie Z and Patrick Cantley.
00:30 And those guys in particular are very happy
00:33 with where their golf game is.
00:34 They're sitting on my card.
00:35 Cantley, I really get the sense that if he wasn't sick,
00:39 he would have won by a couple of shots out there at Riviera
00:41 and he knows that and he knows he was really sick.
00:44 He's not giving excuses,
00:45 but I think he feels like he's got some unfinished business.
00:48 And to kind of round out the card,
00:51 I don't know that there's a guy that's playing better
00:54 with the driver and the putter.
00:56 And the putter than Sammy Burns.
00:58 And he's sitting there right around 30, I got him at 28,
01:01 but not a lot of people are talking about him.
01:04 That could be a guy to take advantage of
01:06 because we know he can use the putter.
01:08 And when he drives the ball like this,
01:10 like he has been over the last couple of weeks
01:12 in these four straight top tens,
01:14 he becomes a favorite in every event that he's playing in.
01:16 Zalatoris, there's a common theme I think about
01:19 every time I come to Mr. Palmer's house.
01:21 Now I worked down here in Orlando
01:23 for five years across the lake over in Isleworth.
01:26 And I was very influenced in my career by Mr. Palmer.
01:29 He is a Wake Forest Demon Deacon.
01:32 And if you're looking for a guy like Will Zalatoris
01:34 to come back, or you're looking for a Cam Young
01:37 to be super focused and break through
01:38 and get that first win,
01:40 why not a Wake Forest Demon Deacon?
01:41 If the golf gods love anything, they love a great story.
01:45 And then at the end of my card, I've got Adam Scott,
01:48 another guy in the middle who's hitting it better than,
01:50 he might be hitting it better than he was
01:51 in the prime of his career.
01:53 I mean, the driver's on point,
01:55 the approach game is really, really sharp.
01:57 And he's working with Trevor Immelman on his short game.
01:59 Whew, I'm telling you, Scotty around this place,
02:03 he's played here before.
02:04 I mean, okay, who's won here a hundred times?

02:33 twenties and thirties, some fun ones here,
02:35 including Chris Kirk, who doesn't get talked about
02:38 like these other guys, Keith,
02:40 but he has been a machine so far this year
02:43 and he always plays well in Florida.
02:45 - Well, Cantley, you brought up first round leader.
02:48 The guy leads the tour this year
02:50 and his scoring average on Thursday is 64.6.
02:53 So what, I mean, he'll get to that top 10 easily on Thursday
02:56 and then hold on for dear life
02:58 as the golf course gets harder.
02:59 In the top twenties, I'm glad you brought up Chris Kirk.
03:02 Chris Kirk has five top twenties
03:03 in his last seven starts here at Bay Hill.
03:06 The only thing that was wrong with him last week down there
03:09 at PGA National was the putter.
03:10 He's obviously very comfortable here.

03:34 I saw him on the West Coast, but I didn't really watch him.
03:37 I put my PGA eyes on him today and I couldn't stop watching.
03:40 This guy, absolute laser show.

03:46 This guy is certainly for real.
