00:04 A Cameroonian national was robbed by a cell phone of a riding in tandem in Taguig.

00:09 The case was arrested but his defense is that he did not know that he had plans to rob his rider.

00:16 First news, Nico Wahe.

00:18 This man, a snatcher, ran away.

00:25 But he was cornered by the police in Lawton Avenue in Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

00:29 The man was one of the two victims who ran away in a Cameroon.

00:33 The victim's story is Jacqueline Visohong, a refugee in the Philippines.

00:37 She said she was walking when she was caught by a riding in tandem with her cell phone.

00:41 I was walking on the road called Lawton Bonifacio.

00:46 Then I was answering for a call.

00:50 And suddenly, I just feel some guy just crashed my phone.

00:54 I was so surprised.

00:56 As I turned, the guys just began to run.

01:02 And I realized that there were two guys on the motorcycle.

01:10 And then, suddenly, I just see a police pass.

01:15 I said, "Please, please, I need your help. Please, I need your help. I need your help."

01:20 They picked my phone.

01:21 It's good that there's a police who responded immediately.

01:25 So, once suddenly, I just see the police.

01:27 I said, "Please, help me, help me."

01:28 And they were going, shouting that, "Please, my phone, my phone, my phone."

01:33 And the police began to follow them.

01:36 The rider was caught, but the rider escaped.

01:39 Our police, just when the suspect was about to snatch, they were there, nearby.

01:46 So, when they called for help, our police noticed.

01:53 And they all responded immediately.

01:55 And the suspect was caught.

01:57 But the other one ran away.

02:00 The other one was caught.

02:02 But we identified the other suspect who ran away.

02:05 The defense of the suspect, he didn't know that his accomplices were the robbers.

02:09 He told me, "I'm calling there.

02:13 We're going to get chicken.

02:16 We're going to sell it to Antipolo."

02:19 He talked to me, but he didn't have a gas.

02:23 So, I filled his gas.

02:26 I didn't think he would do that, sir.

02:29 According to the police, they were able to catch a suspect.

02:32 The police also said that there were cases in the past where the suspect was involved in the illegal drug trafficking.

02:38 His accomplice was also found to have escaped.

02:40 The victim's cell phone was returned.
