00:00 From 44th Street in Camelback, this is the Arizona Daily Mix.
00:06 And it all starts right now.
00:08 I think when you've been in so many crowds for so long, there comes a point where you go,
00:16 "Is this worth it?"
00:18 To be in a big group of people pushing and yelling and doing stuff.
00:23 I don't know.
00:24 We'll tell you what we're talking about in just a minute.
00:26 This is the Arizona Daily Mix on this Friday, March 1st.
00:30 Yes!
00:31 So yeah, get ready for Eyes of March.
00:33 When is that? Is that the 5th? 4th?
00:36 Is it the 4th or 5th?
00:37 4th?
00:38 Eyes of March?
00:39 Eyes of March.
00:40 The 4th, I think.
00:41 Yeah.
00:42 Alright, anyways.
00:43 I'm Bryce Perry.
00:44 I'm Lexi Romano.
00:45 And today on the show, Flit Chick Vicky is back for her Friday movie review.
00:50 And I've already talked about this movie on Tuesday.
00:53 But now we're going to get an expert opinion on Dooey Part 2.
00:57 And I didn't mention-- I can't remember Tuesday if I mentioned in this movie who I didn't even recognize is in the movie.
01:05 And his family was here in front of me during the screening.
01:08 Oh no, who was it?
01:09 We'll wait until I talk to Vicky.
01:11 Because she was surprised too.
01:12 We both were.
01:13 And I think a lot of people, when we see this scene, you're going to go, "No, that's not him."
01:16 That's all I've got to say.
01:18 So you're going to want to stick around and see who that is.
01:20 I'm interested. I'm interested. I'm peaked.
01:22 All right, plus the weather is warming up here in Arizona.
01:25 And if you love to be outdoors, then you need to protect your skin.
01:29 And that is why we have Leah Scheibel here with some sunscreen tips to keep your makeup looking great.
01:36 Plus, we want to keep our skin looking great long term, which is why you've got to wear that sunscreen.
01:40 Yes, and this is not just for you ladies. It's for us guys too.
01:43 Definitely. I love when she comes in because she has the best tips, keeps us up to date on what's trendy, and just keeps us looking fresh and healthy.
01:51 I like it.
01:52 All right, and NASCAR is making its way to the West Coast.
01:55 And early this morning, I got to the deets on all the excitement in Las Vegas because it actually moves to Phoenix next weekend.
02:03 You got the deets, Brad?
02:04 I got the deets.
02:05 Yes, I'm learning those deets words.
02:06 Yeah, I know. I love when our producers write this for us and they're both like, "Well, Daniel's not with us anymore."
02:11 But he's still with us. He's not with us.
02:13 He's moved on.
02:14 He's moved on.
02:15 He's in his career.
02:16 He's got free gas left.
02:18 I was trying to—my whole point with this was that our—I know everybody in the studio is sad now.
02:23 My whole point with this was that our producers are both in their 20s, or were both in their 20s, and you and I now read their copy and it's like these words that I'm like, "The deets."
02:34 The deets.
02:35 Getting the down low. Getting the deets.
02:37 Getting the margs.
02:38 And so what will help you with that is our Trending.
02:41 And that way we'll bring you up to, of course, what's happening around the Internet, the websites, and just social media.
02:47 And we thank it all to Gerber and Gerblach.
02:49 There you go.
02:50 So, all right.
02:51 So, Brad, did you know that today is National Peanut Butter Lovers Day?
02:56 Yes, I did.
02:57 So it is not National Peanut Butter Day.
02:59 Peanut Butter Lovers.
03:00 Peanut Butter Lovers.
03:01 All right. Do you like peanut butter?
03:02 Crunchy.
03:03 I like crunchy peanut butter, too.
03:04 Okay, so get this. It takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter.
03:11 Holy cow.
03:12 I know. That's crazy.
03:13 By law, any product labeled "peanut butter" in the United States must be at least 90% peanuts.
03:20 What else goes in there?
03:21 What else are they putting in there? Other nuts?
03:23 Probably salt, maybe?
03:26 Salt, sure.
03:27 Butter.
03:28 Olive oil.
03:29 Olive oil, like liquids of some kind.
03:30 Okay, gotcha, gotcha.
03:32 The average person will eat almost 3,000 PB&Js in their lifetime.
03:36 Wow. If you're not allergic to peanuts.
03:38 If you're not allergic to peanut butter.
03:39 There you go.
03:40 If you're not allergic to peanuts, you'll only eat the one.
03:43 Okay, according to the Huffington Post, they asked their readers, "What makes the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich?"
03:55 Research showed, okay, these are the ratios here.
03:58 Okay.
03:59 36% say that strawberry jam is their favorite.
04:02 Grape is only the favorite in 31%.
04:04 I'm a grape guy.
04:05 You're a grape guy?
04:06 Yeah.
04:07 Okay, see, I would say strawberry.
04:08 Favorite bread was white bread amongst 54% of people.
04:14 The favorite type of peanut butter is smooth and a whopping 80% like their PB&J with the crust left on.
04:22 Okay, so then this last tidbit was so funny.
04:24 Women and children prefer creamy peanut butter, while most men opt for chunky.
04:29 But see, I like chunky.
04:30 Yeah, I just--
04:31 You like chunky?
04:32 Yeah, it takes me back to the day when you had the bread--
04:34 Let's take a poll, okay.
04:35 You had the bread and you spread it on there and it broke up the bread.
04:37 Okay, chunky peanut butter.
04:38 Hands up.
04:39 Chunky.
04:40 Chunky.
04:41 Okay, smooth.
04:42 Smooth.
04:43 Maddie and Ryan.
04:44 Maddie and Ryan.
04:45 Okay.
04:46 Tidebreaker, who wants to put their head out here?
04:48 Who's the tidebreaker?
04:49 Did you guys do it in the patrol room?
04:50 Who's the tidebreaker?
04:51 Anybody?
04:52 Brian.
04:53 Brian.
04:54 Anyone?
04:55 I heard one person say smooth in there.
04:56 Anybody?
04:57 Smooth.
04:58 Smooth.
04:59 All right.
05:00 Smooth got it.
05:01 All right.
05:02 It's kind of an even split.
05:03 Yeah, there you go.
05:08 Cameras all over the place.
05:10 So that's it.
05:12 Let's also give a quick little note.
05:14 Which president was known as the peanut president?
05:19 Peanut president?
05:20 Peanut president?
05:21 Yep.
05:22 Was it Teddy Roosevelt?
05:23 Nope.
05:24 I don't know.
05:25 His whole family.
05:26 That's how they made their money.
05:27 They made their money.
05:28 Ready?
05:29 Carter.
05:30 Yes.
05:31 No way.
05:32 So the president of Carter's family was a peanut.
05:34 Well, there you go.
05:35 So there you go.
05:36 All right.
05:37 Not Abraham Lincoln.
05:38 Nope.
05:39 Not Abraham Lincoln.
05:40 But yeah, so there he goes.
05:41 Do we have time for it or are we going to do it in the second half?
05:42 We got one minute?
05:43 Should we wait?
05:44 One whole minute.
05:45 Okay.
05:46 Hey, so last night was the opening of the Caesar Republic Scottsdale, which is right
05:49 by the Fashion Square.
05:51 And I got a chance to go out there.
05:52 And this is what we were talking about, a lot of people.
05:54 And so that is-- and we were saying Giada.
05:58 Giada.
05:59 Yeah.
06:00 Giada Laurentiis.
06:01 Yes.
06:02 This is her new restaurant inside the hotel.
06:03 Yeah, and she was there.
06:04 She was passing out pizza.
06:05 That's the wine wall.
06:06 It's a really cool place to go see, especially a hotel right by the mall.
06:09 Wow, look at how gorgeous this is.
06:11 Oh my goodness.
06:12 The view is amazing.
06:13 The drinks were, of course, flowing there in different ways and stuff.
06:17 And of course, they were doing it Vegas style.
06:19 But it's really nice.
06:20 And I think it's going to be a good hit on Facebook.
06:22 Where is this in town?
06:23 So it is right on the north side of the mall by Dillard-- by-- not Dillard.
06:29 Is that Dillard?
06:30 Is it Macy's?
06:31 Yeah, it's right there.
06:32 So you know where Dick's Sporting Goods and all that site?
06:36 Yeah, yeah.
06:37 So on that site where all that construction was going on, that's where it is.
06:40 Oh, I was just over there.
06:41 I didn't know that this was opening up.
06:42 Yeah.
06:43 So yeah, it opened up.
06:44 And so it's pretty nice.
06:45 And we'll probably talk more about everything.
06:46 But yeah, I got to go out there.
06:47 And that's what we were talking about, of course, crowds and stuff where it was really
06:50 crowded.
06:51 And I was like, OK, I got to go home.
06:52 I know.
06:53 You get to a point where you're just like, it's not worth it.
06:54 It isn't.
06:55 So all right, coming up.
06:56 The red carpet season has arrived, and we are getting the top beauty tips to look for
07:01 on the stars when we come back.
07:15 The following portion of the Arizona Daily Mix is sponsored on behalf of Olay Body & Secret
07:19 by A1 Broadcast.
07:23 The red carpet awards season is upon us, and when the stars shine bright, yesterday I talked
07:28 with beauty and style expert Emily Loftus, who's sharing the secrets for creating beautiful
07:32 runway glam at home.
07:34 Hi, Emily.
07:35 Thank you so much for being here today.
07:39 Hi.
07:40 I'm so happy to be here.
07:41 So we're talking about something I love, which is celebrities on the red carpet.
07:46 So I have to know, what are some of these style tips and tricks that they are doing?
07:51 Because we all want to look like a celebrity, right?
07:53 Oh, I've got some great style secrets.
07:57 So Jeremy Allen White, who is the star of The Bear, his makeup artist swears that his
08:02 skin completely changed after using LED red light therapy.
08:06 And then Margot Robbie, who is Barbie, who has the most amazing physique and legs, she
08:11 swears by lymphatic drainage massage.
08:15 And then Killian Murphy, that has those unbelievable Oppenheimer cheekbones, his makeup artist
08:20 used a $70 Tom Ford bronzer and Chanel brush.
08:24 But do not worry, I have some more affordable items here.
08:27 Ooh, OK.
08:28 All of those things sound fantastic, especially like the red light therapy, all of that good
08:34 stuff.
08:35 But what's a simple touch that you find makes a really, really big difference?
08:39 Well, you have to start with the skin, because the skin is everything.
08:42 So Olay, the experts in glowing skin from head to toe, introduced their new ultra-moisturizing
08:49 Indulgent Moisture Body Wash Collection.
08:51 This is their most premium body wash experience to date, featuring a rich, immersive lather
08:56 and premium scents, like notes of rose and cherry cream, infused with silky moisturizers
09:01 and vitamin B3 that penetrate the skin's surface to take the skin from dull and dry to glowing
09:08 with confidence in just 14 days.
09:10 And I love how the innovative dual-phase formula allows each ingredient to shine.
09:14 And it's available for only $12.99, which is the best part at major retailers.
09:19 Ooh, and some of those scents that you were talking about, I mean, cherry cream.
09:23 Who doesn't want to smell like cherry cream?
09:25 That sounds fantastic.
09:26 I'm telling you, this is such luxury in the shower.
09:31 My husband knows.
09:32 Do not touch this.
09:33 This is mine.
09:34 I love that.
09:35 Yes, that's specifically just for you.
09:36 Well, you've got to keep some stuff for yourself.
09:38 I get it.
09:39 But for the celebs, when they are out there on the red carpet, how do they stay cool under
09:42 those bright lights?
09:43 So I'm going to tell you my secret, because I've got some bright lights here.
09:46 I've been here for many, many hours.
09:48 And it truly is the new secret whole body deodorant that is designed with every woman
09:53 in mind to provide 72 hours of clinically proven odor protection from your pits to your
09:59 bits.
10:00 It is available in three forms, spray, stick, and cream, and comes in two scents.
10:05 And my favorite is the peach vanilla blossom.
10:08 The collection is both gynecologist and dermatologist tested.
10:11 And I love that it is made with intentional ingredients, free from aluminum, baking soda,
10:16 phthalates, and parabens.
10:18 So you can confidently apply it everywhere, including your underarms, chest, thighs, and
10:22 even toes.
10:23 Ooh, toes.
10:24 Okay, I've never thought of that.
10:27 But that's a great idea.
10:28 I love the phrase that you said, that it's kind of for every little bit and cranny of
10:34 yourself.
10:35 I love that.
10:36 That's so great.
10:37 What about some other great tips for fashion statements that you have for us?
10:40 So I've been styling clients forever, from red carpets to boardrooms to even elevate
10:46 stay-at-home moms' wardrobes and get out of athleisure wear.
10:49 And I'm telling you, it's all about rocking your own personal style.
10:52 So I'm all about neon and bright colors.
10:55 The louder the color, the more I love it.
10:56 Or maybe you are a classic beauty and you love black and white and wearing pearls.
11:01 Or maybe even bohemian and you're more about loose-fitting garments and those muted colors.
11:07 Whatever your vibe is, it's just to, when you walk in that room, you wear it confidently.
11:12 That's the best thing you can wear, right?
11:14 Your confidence.
11:15 Because you went through so many different styles right there, from boho chic to even
11:20 athleisure.
11:21 I mean, trust me, I'm a mom.
11:22 I'm wearing my athleisure wear all day.
11:23 But if you're wearing it, you know, if you're wearing it confidently, that is what's most
11:27 important.
11:28 And you have to have the ones that have the cute little fits.
11:30 There's so many cute fits in tennis dresses now and like the scuba wear.
11:34 So you can wear athleisure wear, but just make sure it looks elevated.
11:37 I love that tip.
11:39 That is great.
11:40 You're totally right.
11:41 Okay, Emily, let everybody know where they can go to find more information.
11:44 Head on over to tipsontv.com.
11:45 Okay, this was fantastic.
11:47 Thank you so much for all the info and you have a great rest of your day.
11:50 You too.
11:51 Take care.
11:52 Thanks.
11:53 Bye.
11:54 This is the Arizona Daily Mix.
11:57 Sorry.
11:58 Sorry.
11:59 I fell asleep at the wheel.
12:02 Throwing stuff.
12:05 All right.
12:08 Welcome to the second half of the Arizona Daily Mix.
12:12 Still to come, Leah Shivell is here with some must-have sunscreen tips for the warmer weather
12:18 ahead because yes, guys, those warmer temps are coming for us, unfortunately.
12:23 It only takes a couple of minutes to put it on to save your skin.
12:27 Absolutely.
12:28 Yeah.
12:29 And it's so important.
12:30 It's so, yeah.
12:31 Just do it.
12:32 Just do it.
12:33 Plus, it's National Peanut Butter Lover's Day.
12:35 See three delicious ways you can enjoy peanut butter.
12:38 Especially if you like Chunky.
12:40 Chunky.
12:41 Chunky.
12:42 Chunky.
12:43 Chunky.
12:44 Chunky.
12:45 That's what I sing to Arlo.
12:46 Peanut, peanut butter, jelly.
12:47 When he's eating his bottle because he's got his chubby cheeks, so I sing Chunky to him.
12:51 All right, guys, but here at the CW7, we have a great lineup for you guys.
12:56 All righty.
12:57 Get your seat on the couch and enjoy some laughs because starting this afternoon,
13:01 we have two hours of your favorite funny man, Steve Harvey, and family feud.
13:05 That all starts at 4.
13:06 We follow that up with the Big Bang Theory, Bring It On The Laughs at 6 and 630.
13:11 Then it's our new CW primetime lineup, Get Ready For Magic with Penn & Teller.
13:16 It's called Fool Us.
13:17 That's at 7, followed by the new shows Totally Funny Kids at 8 and Totally Funny Animals at 830.
13:24 Then it's your favorite funny man again at 9, and hang in there for the craziest sitcom on TV,
13:30 which is Mom.
13:31 That's at 10.
13:32 It's all about the smiles here at the CW7, as we like to say.
13:35 It's all good.
13:37 One reason.
13:40 It's all good.
13:41 So as we saw there when Vicki and I were talking about Austin Butler being the villain.
13:47 Yes, so I was watching because I was waiting to see who it was.
13:50 And you did not recognize him at all.
13:52 He had a totally different look and everything, totally different voice, everything.
13:55 Do we have a close-up of it?
13:57 I know, we were trying to get it for him.
13:59 So what was happening is that his grandparents live out here in Tonopah.
14:03 And so they had driven in to see the screening on Monday.
14:07 Oh, cool.
14:08 And it was his grandfather and grandmother, and then his dad was here, and some friends and stuff.
14:12 And they were sitting in front of me and not realizing it.
14:15 And it was great when she heard his grandparents go, "All right, cool."
14:20 And then Granddad's like, "Cool, he's got a bald head like me."
14:23 Oh, no way.
14:24 That's so funny.
14:25 Is he in a lot of the film?
14:26 Oh, yeah, yeah.
14:27 He's the villain.
14:28 He's the guy.
14:29 So he's like a main part of the show.
14:31 Yeah, he's the main part of the movie.
14:33 Okay, interesting.
14:34 And that's what bothered me and Vicki, we were talking about before.
14:37 Because you couldn't recognize who it was?
14:39 You know when you have that during the movie?
14:41 It's on the tip of your tongue, and you're like, "Who is that?"
14:43 "Who is that?"
14:44 "I know that face."
14:46 And that's until all of a sudden it was at the end.
14:48 And then I got Austin Butler.
14:49 But it's a good movie.
14:50 I highly recommend it.
14:52 So I know Austin Butler mainly through the Elvis movie.
14:56 Right.
14:57 I don't know a whole ton of other things that he's done, but he was incredibly impressive in the Elvis movie.
15:02 Have you seen the other Elvis movie, which isn't an Elvis movie, it's Priscilla.
15:06 Have you seen it?
15:07 No, but it's on HBO Max now.
15:09 I know, I was just watching it.
15:10 I'm going to watch it this weekend.
15:11 And Austin's doing, it's called on Apple, Air Something, where he's a pilot or whatever.
15:18 So he's doing a series there.
15:19 Oh, okay, cool.
15:20 But the Priscilla one, I know everyone's saying that's pretty interesting to see.
15:23 You know, I will say I started watching it over the weekend, and it was kind of slow.
15:29 Is it?
15:30 Yeah, it's Sofia Coppola, who I really do like her work, but I don't know, Maddie and I were talking about it earlier.
15:35 It's a little slow, I felt like.
15:38 I haven't finished it yet.
15:39 I stopped it halfway because Arlo was crying, and then I didn't even go back to it.
15:43 So, yeah.
15:44 Well, I'll tell you something that's not slow, and that is of course start your engines, because NASCAR races have started,
15:49 and this weekend it rolls into Las Vegas.
15:52 I spoke with John Langler about all the buzz that will be happening this weekend in Vegas.
15:57 Good morning, John.
16:01 I'm excited to talk to you because NASCAR rolls into Phoenix next week, but you're there in Vegas,
16:06 we're definitely at the NASCAR party, and excitement going on because of last week's race.
16:12 Yeah, Brad, good morning to you.
16:14 It's not exciting now, it's still early in the morning, but it was exciting last night.
16:18 The haulers drove up the strip up here to the speedway.
16:21 The cars are going to be on track about midday, around 1 o'clock, but it's exciting.
16:25 As you mentioned, the whole circus, the NASCAR circus was in Atlanta last week, cross-country trip to get here in time.
16:32 For the 26th straight year, NASCAR is in Las Vegas. It should be a lot of fun.
16:37 Okay, since you said there's no cars there, can you set up a little car set up for us so we feel like we do have some cars there?
16:45 Well, I'm so glad you mentioned that, Brad. I happened to bring some props with me here.
16:48 I dug through my garage, and they actually say Pennzoil on it, for the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday.
16:53 Let's see if we can get some good early lap times here.
16:56 We've got an IndyCar, an old stock car, and then another one. So here we go.
17:02 That one's not bad. That one needs a little help.
17:08 And here's the final one. Let's see what this does.
17:12 Aw, this didn't even do anything. It turned right. Stock cars turn left. Come on now, let's try one more time.
17:20 We'll work on it, we'll work on it, Brad. It's just practice. We've got a long way to go. It's a long weekend.
17:25 Yeah, what's great is that Vegas is not too far away from Phoenix to get out there and enjoy the races.
17:30 So what can people expect when they come that way?
17:33 So yeah, not too far a drive, of course, from Phoenix up to Las Vegas.
17:37 Lots of parties all night long, and it's not just here at the Speedway.
17:39 Obviously the racing is here, there's campers and RVs, but up and down Las Vegas Boulevard, all the resorts, all the casinos,
17:46 they're all dialed for NASCAR, whether it's live music, live events, parties going on.
17:51 There's always something going on in Las Vegas, so they're used to it with NASCAR coming in.
17:55 It's twice a year, this is the first race. There's plenty to do in Las Vegas if you're a big NASCAR fan.
18:00 All right, and really quick, the series. What goes on this weekend? What starts tonight?
18:05 So tonight's the Truck Series. They'll get going here Friday night.
18:08 Tomorrow's the Xfinity Series. That's like, as we know, sort of the minor leagues for stock car racing.
18:13 Then you've got the Cup Series. That's the big race. That's Sunday here, the Pennzoil 400.
18:17 That's where the stands will be packed. So three great days of racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
18:22 I'll tell you, John, very exciting. If you do get a chance, go check out my friend Frankie Munez.
18:27 He's racing Saturday, so make sure you see him.
18:30 I'll see if you need someone to work on the front tires.
18:33 Thank you, John.
18:35 All right, well, how--
18:37 That was great.
18:38 Yeah, so again, NASCAR rolls in next week. We'll have three days of it here.
18:42 And then it comes back in the fall. I forgot what it is, but over at the Phoenix Raceway, which is going to be pretty cool.
18:47 That's awesome. And you're going to go check some stuff out, right?
18:49 I'm going to be out there. I'm going to actually talk with the president of the raceway.
18:51 Great.
18:52 So we're going to do a little interview.
18:53 All right, make sure you tune in for that.
18:54 And we want to say that the CW is very happy to be a part of NASCAR, especially starting next year.
18:58 So you can get all the action right here on the CW7.
19:02 So it'll be pretty cool.
19:03 All right, all well. Speaking of driving, coming up next, find out what Wally's checking out at Bell Honda when the mix returns.
19:11 [MUSIC PLAYING]
19:14 The following portion of the Arizona Daily Mix is sponsored by Bell Honda.
19:24 [MUSIC PLAYING]
19:27 Well, hi, and welcome to another one of Wally's weekend drives.
19:35 We are up here today at Bell Honda, located at 7th Avenue and Bell Road, joined right here by Shane Benavides.
19:42 And Shane, now you actually are from New Mexico, correct?
19:46 Yes, from Las Cruces.
19:47 Yeah, Las Cruces, Hatch, right down there.
19:51 Greatest Hatch chili of all time, though, being grown over there.
19:54 That's right. That's right.
19:55 So this boy has been nothing but fed the Hatch chili, so he's hot for sure.
20:01 Now, Shane, we've got this 2024 Ridgeline right here we're going to check out.
20:06 Now, you guys have a bunch-- not a bunch, but you have a few here on the lot.
20:10 And you have some 23s left, too, even though this one's a 24.
20:14 Yeah.
20:15 Yeah, so we got smoking deals on that, right, to start with.
20:17 Oh, yeah, on both of them right now.
20:18 OK, so everybody needs to know that really not too much changed between 23 and 24.
20:22 So those good deals on the 23s, just take a look right here and watch this, because you might want one of those 23s.
20:29 So the first thing that we notice right here, this is the Ridgeline all-wheel drive trail sport.
20:34 That means it's four-wheel drive all the time.
20:37 Now, if you look here, you see a big grill open up right here.
20:41 You got great radiators, transmission cooler right here, heavy-duty transmission cooler,
20:47 because this vehicle is actually equipped with a Class 3 hitch that does tow up to 5,000 pounds.
20:53 If you look here, you'll also see the LED lights, the signature lights right here.
20:57 That's part of it also.
20:59 And you see, of course, your air curtain right here.
21:01 They're looking for mileage, but understand this is a V6 making 280 horsepower,
21:07 so it's going to get about 20 to 22 miles per gallon somewhere right in there.
21:11 And all that power is going through these 18-inch alloy wheels right here,
21:16 wrapped with some serious off-road rubber that's sticky, too.
21:19 I've had it off-road. This thing really works well off-road.
21:21 I was quite surprised.
21:23 In fact, Shane, I heard that somebody actually ran this in the Baja 1000 here, too.
21:29 So Honda has really stepped up its game when it comes to off-road.
21:32 Yes, 100%.
21:34 Yes. Okay. So looking inside, one thing that we're going to notice here,
21:37 with a Honda, you have full leather interior here, which is kind of unusual when it comes to a truck in general.
21:43 But that, along with the smart steering wheel, the Apple CarPlay, the wireless charger,
21:49 the heated seats and steering wheel, what is your favorite feature in here?
21:53 My favorite feature on this one is that it comes with the orange stitching on all Trail Sports.
21:58 They have the orange stitching to let you know to match the badge.
22:01 And then at the same time, all-weather mats as well.
22:04 And then obviously the back where you can fold it up, the seat all the way out.
22:08 Well, Grady, come on back here and Shane, you, too, because here's probably the coolest feature,
22:13 or a couple of the coolest features that I like about it.
22:16 Trail Sports has, okay, it's a pickup truck, right?
22:19 Yes.
22:20 Tailgate comes down, no problem.
22:22 Okay. Here's what I like. If you don't see this on anything else, it opens sideways.
22:27 But now, Grady, come on in here because there's a special little secret here.
22:30 It's been here for a while, but most people don't know about it.
22:33 You look in here, not only do you have the spare tire that gets the Wally Seal of Approval,
22:38 but you've got a 50-quart cooler here that you can make.
22:42 Right over there is a drain. You go ahead, fill that with ice, your favorite adult beverage,
22:47 your soft drinks, whatever you want there.
22:49 And this is a tailgating machine.
22:51 Now, again, I said we're up here at Bell Honda on Bell Road.
22:57 MSRP on this is $46,830.
23:01 And Shane right here can hook you up.
23:04 But, Shane, I have to ask. It's like, okay, Honda makes a great product.
23:08 It's safe, gets good mileage, 20 miles per gallon, just so you know.
23:11 But 300 horse, that's about what you get.
23:13 But maybe you're not looking for a pickup truck.
23:15 Maybe you have a family and you're looking for an SUV.
23:18 Yeah, we definitely have the Pilot here as well.
23:20 So this is one of our best SUVs for the family.
23:23 This holds up to three rows.
23:25 It can hold up to seven to eight passengers.
23:27 Right now, you can also have captain seats in the back.
23:30 They also have heated seats as well.
23:32 This one all comes with leather due to the fact that leather holds better than cloth when it comes to cleaning.
23:38 So that's the cool thing about this one as well.
23:41 It also has the same engine as the Ridgeline as well.
23:44 Right on. The V6 in there making 280 horsepower. Excellent.
23:47 So maybe I don't have a big family. Maybe I have a new family.
23:51 Maybe one kid, two kids.
23:53 What would you recommend for a midsize?
23:55 The CR-V, one of our best SUVs, if not the best SUV.
24:00 So this one is the midsize one. This one's in crystal black.
24:03 This one is also the EXL.
24:05 This is the light interior with the moonroof and also with sensors front and back with a backup camera.
24:11 There you go. Okay.
24:13 So remember, we are up here at Bell Honda, 7th Avenue and Bell Road.
24:17 Come on up here. Ask for Shane.
24:20 He's going to hook you up with the Wally deal.
24:22 If not, make sure to ask for his boss.
24:24 Hud is his boss.
24:33 The preceding portion of the Arizona Daily Mix was sponsored by Bell Honda.
24:37 All right. From spring training to summer festivals, this is the season to be outdoors.
24:53 And you need to make sure that you protect your skin from those harsh UV rays.
24:57 Here to give us her expert tips is beauty expert, Leah Schiable.
25:01 Leah, thank you for being here.
25:02 Thank you for having me.
25:03 I love when you come, and I've said this before, because you give us the best tips.
25:08 And I am one of those women, as ladies, we do our makeup every day.
25:12 We can get into a rut.
25:14 So I love when you come and you give us some new trendy ideas and tips.
25:17 Easy way to put in a couple of products where you need it.
25:20 You don't need all of these products at all at any point in time.
25:23 If you want to use them, absolutely.
25:25 But I would say choose one or two that work for you.
25:27 Okay, that's great. So this isn't something you have to overhaul your look with.
25:30 This is one or two items that you can incorporate into what you're already doing.
25:33 And we're talking sunscreen. This is so, so important.
25:36 Yes.
25:37 So let's start out over here with this guy.
25:38 Yes. So this is the Tula. This is the Protect and Glow.
25:41 I'll let you put a little bit of that on your hands.
25:43 It is so wonderful because it's your primer.
25:45 So if you're currently not wearing a primer right now underneath of your makeup,
25:49 this is going to help keep your makeup on all day long.
25:52 And it's also going to help your makeup glide on more smoothly
25:55 and give you that really pretty natural glow.
25:58 You can see it has that little sheen.
26:00 And if you can tell on the fine lines, just not that you have fine lines on your hand,
26:03 but you can tell it fills in fine lines, pores, and small wrinkles and things like that.
26:08 So that way you're getting that little bit of extra protection.
26:11 That, I think, is a $30 right there.
26:13 And only about $30 as well.
26:15 So this is an Ulta product, which you can also get at Target.
26:18 It's really, really wonderful. And you can see it feels super soft on the skin.
26:22 It's so soft, so silky.
26:24 Yeah, this would be great to put on underneath your makeup
26:26 and make everything go on nice and smooth.
26:28 Yeah, it feels great.
26:29 It's gorgeous. And you don't even have to--like I said,
26:31 if you're not looking to put something on top of your makeup
26:33 and change the texture of how your makeup is wearing throughout the day,
26:36 this is going to help from underneath and keep it on all day long.
26:39 Okay, that's great. I do not use a primer right now, so I need to get that one.
26:42 So that's a good one. A primer just in general is going to help your makeup stay on all day.
26:45 Great.
26:46 If you're wearing a foundation or a CC cream,
26:48 again, a really great way to add into a little bit of sun protection.
26:52 I love--this is my cult favorite SPF 50, CC+, it cosmetics, it's so nice,
26:58 really sheer, and has that huge SPF.
27:02 I was going to say, 50 is huge. I mean, oh my goodness.
27:05 And it's a CC cream.
27:06 And in your foundation product, yeah.
27:07 Yeah.
27:08 It's really lightweight, has a really pretty glow to it.
27:10 The one that's a glow screen is not my favorite.
27:13 So if you have this one and the glow, skip the glow, it's too shimmery.
27:16 Okay.
27:17 But this original is incredible.
27:19 Where do you get this one?
27:20 This is Target Ulta also.
27:22 Love it.
27:23 So easy. This one is $47, so kind of the top of our whole haul here.
27:27 But you're $450, so it's a good price point for an SPF 50.
27:30 Yeah, really good.
27:31 And I love a CC cream or a BB cream because it's lighter.
27:34 It's so much lighter.
27:35 It's something that I wear on days when I'm not going to be on camera, when I'm not here.
27:38 Exactly.
27:39 But I still want that coverage.
27:40 A little bit of coverage, a little bit of even, and then that huge sunscreen is a plus.
27:43 Great. All right. What about this guy?
27:44 So this is the Elf.
27:45 This is a great alternative if you like a little bit more full coverage.
27:49 So if you're looking for something that full coverage look, but you still want that sunscreen,
27:53 Elf has an SPF 30 in it.
27:55 Again, it's a pump.
27:56 You can put it on with your fingers.
27:58 It's so wonderful.
27:59 Okay.
28:00 SPF 30.
28:01 That's great, too.
28:02 And only $15.
28:03 Great.
28:04 So easy peasy.
28:05 That you can get CVS, Walgreens, everywhere.
28:06 Perfect.
28:07 All right. Let's move on to this.
28:08 What is this about?
28:09 Yes. Okay.
28:10 So this is a scalp and hair.
28:12 Oh.
28:13 So for blondes, for anyone who has that really pretty, like, an ash to it that you're not
28:17 looking to, like, go kind of that orangey, you know, when you get real rusty, sometimes
28:22 the sun does that.
28:23 And this is a really great product because we can just spritz it onto our hair.
28:26 So I'm just going to go ahead and spray.
28:27 Okay.
28:28 So you want to hold your arm.
28:29 Shake it up real good.
28:30 Hold your arm about, you know, arm's length out.
28:32 And we're going to just spritz kind of heavy.
28:34 And then I also always do my roots.
28:37 Just, not my roots, my ends here.
28:39 Because this really, really helps to just kind of pull the cuticle together, make it
28:43 nice.
28:44 Smells good, too.
28:45 It smells so good.
28:46 It smells like summer.
28:47 I love Sun Bump always.
28:48 That's great.
28:49 And this is only $17.
28:50 Great.
28:51 Nice and affordable.
28:52 What about this guy?
28:53 Oh, lip.
28:54 Have you had a sunscreen lip gloss?
28:55 I have not yet.
28:56 This one is my very favorite.
28:57 I can't wait to try it.
28:58 This is a great product.
28:59 You're SPF 40 here, and you can see really pretty shine to it.
29:04 It's beautiful.
29:05 A little bit goes a long way.
29:06 And people always forget about their lips, and then your lips get sunburned.
29:08 Oh, my gosh.
29:09 And then you get burnt.
29:10 It's so uncomfortable.
29:11 And it hurts, and they peel, and then it's just also just painful.
29:14 Mm-hmm.
29:15 And this one also smells great.
29:16 So good.
29:17 Okay, let's get to our last two real quick.
29:18 Okay, so really fast.
29:19 Clinique has an SPF powder, so if you don't have any sunscreen at all, put this powder
29:24 on.
29:25 Clinique SPF 30.
29:26 Nice.
29:27 This, worst case scenario, you can find this every single place you shop.
29:31 Make sure that you throw this in the bag.
29:32 Anything small that can come with you that you can reapply, always reapply.
29:35 80 minutes is your max.
29:36 80 minutes, reapply.
29:37 Good to know.
29:38 80 minutes.
29:39 Another reapplication.
29:40 We've talked about this before.
29:41 This is the Hawaiian Tropic.
29:42 You just pop it on.
29:43 This is really nice because we also get a little bit shiny while we're out and about
29:47 as well.
29:48 That's great.
29:49 So remember your hands.
29:50 Last little tip.
29:51 Even if you use all of these products, you're not getting all of these additional.
29:54 You're not at an SPF 150 if you're wearing three of the products.
29:57 You're still just at a strong 50.
29:59 Okay, that's good to know.
30:00 Don't add them up.
30:01 Because sometimes we think if we put on a 50 and another 50, oh my gosh, I have so much
30:05 extra coverage.
30:06 I'm a hundred.
30:07 Yeah, exactly.
30:08 It's not.
30:09 It still just stays at that 50.
30:10 That's really, really great.
30:11 Yes.
30:12 All right, Leah, tell everybody where they can find you and learn even more tips.
30:13 You can go to the website, thespottydogg.com or leahscheibel on Instagram.
30:14 Okay, this is great.
30:15 You guys, this is so, so, so important.
30:16 Do not forget your sunscreen.
30:17 Wear your sunscreen.
30:18 Thank you, Leah.
30:19 We love it.
30:20 Make sure you stick around for the end of the show to find out how to win tickets to
30:21 a spring training game.
30:22 But coming up next, we're getting you those tasty recipes for National Peanut Butter Lover's
