00:09 Finding the time to get your hair done can feel impossible, especially when you have
00:12 a lot of work on your plate.
00:14 But Drybar is here to help you multitask and relax at the same time.
00:23 I'm here at Drybar in Tempe and not only did I just get my hair done, but I just got so
00:41 much work done.
00:42 I mean, I rewrote my bio, I answered 27 emails, I might have done a little Instacart shopping.
00:50 One thing I love about coming here is that they say there are 24 hours in a day, but
00:54 when you come here, you can double dip on the one hour where you're getting your hair
00:57 done and do all kinds of work.
01:00 Teresa, how are you today?
01:02 Thank you so much.
01:04 Thank you for being here today at Drybar.
01:07 So look, I was just saying how much I love coming here and getting work done because
01:12 you think of getting dolled up for a Friday or Saturday night, but when I come in, I see
01:16 a lot of people at seven or eight before their workday.
01:20 Absolutely.
01:21 You know, it's so amazing how many people come in just like you, Teresa, with your laptop.
01:27 And it's literally that one hour where you're going to leave looking great like Julia Roberts,
01:33 right?
01:34 And she walks out, but you just did all this work and your boss thinks you're working the
01:37 whole time.
01:38 They have no idea you were also getting pampered.
01:40 They don't know.
01:41 No, not at all.
01:43 And when I'm here, I always see women with their laptops.
01:47 I see them on their phones.
01:49 I see them reading.
01:50 I see people writing.
01:52 Absolutely.
01:53 We have so many moms, right, that come in, right?
01:56 They've got a kid at home.
01:58 Maybe they've got one on the way.
01:59 And you know what?
02:00 This is their hour where nobody is yelling, where they're not putting anybody in time
02:06 out, where they're not getting, you know, an email from the teacher about a report card,
02:11 right?
02:12 They're just sitting there, right?
02:13 Yeah.
02:14 They can open up that book.
02:15 They can relax.
02:16 They leave looking like a million bucks.
02:19 And when their husband comes home, they're like, oh, you look so beautiful today.
02:22 And you're like, great.
02:23 I went to drive off.
02:24 And they just had time to relax for themselves.
02:27 Absolutely.
02:28 I love everything that you just said.
02:30 And it reminded me that for the hour I'm here, I can get twice as much work done as when
02:35 I'm home or even when I'm at my office.
02:39 Absolutely.
02:40 You know, because you're multitasking, right?
02:42 I feel like in today's lifestyle, we are go, go, go all the time.
02:47 And how do we get it all in, right?
02:49 How are we going to work?
02:50 How are we going to grocery shop?
02:52 How are we going to put our makeup on, right?
02:54 Like if you could be getting your hair done while putting your makeup on at the same time,
02:58 like that's a great bonus.
02:59 I'm glad you mentioned that because it's much better than when I do my makeup while I'm
03:03 driving.
03:04 Well, yeah.
03:05 Don't do that.
03:06 Especially if a police officer pulls up next to you.
03:08 You can get a ticket.
03:09 Yes.
03:10 The best thing that can happen is you get a ticket.
03:12 Right.
03:13 But I do that a lot when I come in because I love that 7am or 8am time.
03:18 And then I can just leave my house.
03:20 I don't have to worry about doing my makeup and nobody looks at me askance.
03:23 No, no.
03:24 I mean, we literally have people in here at all hours and that one hour they're here,
03:30 that is their Zen time, right?
03:32 So whether they're like you, you know, the busy, you know, working professional, who's
03:36 going to do some work, whether they're the mom, whether they are just, you know, a lady
03:41 who's going out to lunch and getting ready, it is their one hour to get multiple things
03:47 done or they can just get the block and watch the great movies.
03:51 I mean, when I come in and Julia's on, I'm happy when I come in and clueless is on.
03:56 Oh yeah.
03:57 I never get sick of it.
03:58 Never.
03:59 Why is that?
04:00 I don't know.
04:01 It's the Alicia Silverstone of it all.
04:02 It is.
04:03 I think all of us agree that we can use an hour of Zen, but for some people it's actually
04:08 more relaxing to work because you can cross all those things off your list.
04:12 So when you leave here, your hair looks great, but you're more at peace.
04:15 Absolutely.
04:16 You know, I love when I get a blowout and during the day at Drybar because when I get
04:21 home, my entire list is checked off.
04:23 I can walk through that door and I can be present, right?
04:27 As a mom, as a wife, as a daughter, all those things.
04:31 And I don't have to worry that I still have work to do for the day because I did it while
04:34 I was getting my blowout.
04:36 I feel the same.
04:37 And my blowout lasts me.
04:40 So I mean, maybe I shouldn't confess this, but why not?
04:43 We're amongst friends.
04:44 We are.
04:45 Sometimes I'll get a Monday blowout, like at 7 a.m. and if I can avoid hot yoga, which
04:50 I'm very good at avoiding, I still look good Thursday.
04:53 Absolutely.
04:54 I mean, I probably go four to five days as well.
04:57 So you're speaking my language, Teresa.
05:00 There's no need.
05:01 And what's great is that even when you get to Thursday, if you're like, you know, I don't
05:05 really feel that dirty, I'm just going to pop in and I'm going to get a dry style, right?
05:10 You could just get a little touch up if you don't have all that time.
05:14 That's what I did today.
05:15 Exactly.
05:16 And that was, I don't know, maybe took 15 minutes.
05:18 Right.
05:19 15, 20 minutes.
05:20 Not that long, especially, you know, depending on the weather, right?
05:24 By the way, I got a free umbrella when I came in.
05:26 When it rained one time, that's good to know.
05:28 And I want to remind everybody, this location in Tempe at the Watermark, there's tons to
05:33 do here.
05:34 You can go boxing, you can get your nails done, you can get a cookie, you can go shopping.
05:38 So many things, right?
05:40 This is our newest location and it's so fun.
05:43 It's so bright.
05:44 And there is so much to do down here in Tempe as well.
05:46 Well take us out with your mantra.
05:47 Oh, you know what?
05:49 What we say here at Drybar, no cuts, no color, just blowouts.
