00:00 >> No, I, through time I've probably talked to Joe a little bit.
00:05 It's pretty much it right now.
00:07 >> Do you have a relationship with Levi on 3D at all?
00:10 >> Not really, no.
00:11 >> Was that 2020 you were together?
00:13 >> Yeah, but he's one of those guys I can hit up any day and
00:16 for sure say some decent advice.
00:19 >> You said you met with the Panthers last night.
00:22 They run a three, four obviously.
00:24 What do they say you fit best with what they're trying to do?
00:27 >> Yeah, they like to see me down in three point stance.
00:31 Not in a two point stance like I was before.
00:33 And I would be open to that completely.
00:35 I think you can get a lot of explosives moving out of there.
00:38 Being in a defense like that kind of takes me back to high school.
00:42 I'm down in a three point stance, just two men in front.
00:45 And it's exciting to be seen in different types of schemes like that.
00:49 But yeah, that's pretty much what they were saying.
00:52 It was a great meeting with them for sure.
00:55 >> What's the most important part do you think of your traits and
00:57 skill set that made you such a productive pass rush in the last two years?
01:00 >> I think it's my relentless effort out there on the field.
01:03 Just constantly going, never getting tired.
01:06 Even if I was tired, I'm gonna catch me crawling to the quarterback if I'm
01:10 out there dying on the field before I can stop.
01:13 Just that on top of knowledge of the game, just taking a lot of time watching film.
01:17 And getting all the calls right with Coach Schmidt.
01:20 And just that love for the game, that passion to go out there and
01:24 play football with my brothers and my camaraderie.
01:27 It's really a great job when we got there.
01:28 >> You said you met with the Raiders.
01:29 What are your thoughts on the Raiders organization?
01:32 >> I thought it was a great meeting, sure.
01:33 They gave me a lot of tips too on my game.
01:36 They reminded me just to focus on what I can do best in my game,
01:40 my abilities.
01:42 That's a good reminder to have cuz at this level you can get too focused and
01:47 try to do all these different things to be this player that you wanna be.
01:50 But really it comes down to locking in on yourself and
01:53 grinding on who you are, improving on who you are.
01:55 So that's really all that matters.
01:57 >> Any particular part of the testing this week that you're doing,
02:00 that you're focusing on a training that you wanna show on the full team?
02:02 Three corners, jumps, what is it?
02:04 >> 40 for sure.
02:05 >> 40? >> Yeah.
02:06 I think I'm slow for some reason.
02:08 I'm gonna go out there and I think a lot of people are gonna be proven wrong.
02:11 And I'm just excited to get the chance to go out there and
02:13 beat up on everybody.
02:14 >> 10 yard split too, right?
02:15 >> 10 yard split for sure.
02:16 That's huge for me in my position.
02:18 >> You mentioned how you crawl, your relentless attitude.
02:20 What is it that drives you?
02:22 What's your motivation?
02:23 >> For me, it's just how I was raised.
02:25 My mom, I've seen her work really hard my whole life.
02:29 And I just wanna be just like that.
02:32 But in order to support her at some point, so
02:34 I know it's gonna take a lot of hard work and constant effort.
02:38 That's been instilled in me through my grandfather,
02:42 through coaches that I had growing up.
02:44 I also attribute it to just something inside me when I was born.
02:47 I've always been like that since I was a kid.
02:50 >> Honestly, I was the guy who involved myself.
02:52 >> Yeah, Spartan.
02:53 >> What are you measuring in that?
02:55 I know you're listing with 6'4", 2'7".
02:59 >> 6'4", 255.
03:00 >> 255.
03:01 So at 255 going against a tackle that's 310, 320.
03:07 Do you have that underdog mindset, that chip on your shoulder?
03:10 >> I don't think it matters what weight I'm at.
03:13 I think I could go out there and do the same thing I was doing if I was at.
03:17 I don't think size really equates to any of it.
03:19 It's all about leverage, effort, and process out there on the field, really.
03:25 >> And what about, cuz you mentioned your speed and how you have that.
03:28 I believe size is not a skill.
03:29 So as a smaller guy, you could actually use that to your advantage.
03:33 That speed to power, can you take me through that process,
03:35 like how you work that?
03:36 >> Yeah, I think speed to power is one of those things where you gotta really
03:40 give it full effort.
03:41 If you're not fully committed to a power move, it's not gonna work out.
03:45 You really gotta get low, drive off the line, explosiveness,
03:48 get that leverage underneath his pads.
03:51 That's why I say size doesn't matter.
03:53 If you can get your hands underneath somebody's pads and try and
03:55 stuff and get them on their heels.
03:56 Regardless, they're gonna get it in the back of their head.
03:58 It's not falling backwards, so.
03:59 >> [INAUDIBLE]
