From icy spots in the Northeast to arriving snow in the Northwest, wintry weather will cause a variety of travel delays on this year's Leap Day.

00:05 Center County, PA earlier today,
00:06 as water just built up there
00:08 for most of the day.
00:10 However, the roads were trying to get
00:12 them to dry out for the tomorrow
00:14 morning's commute.
00:14 However, there will be some challenges
00:16 in a few spots heading into tomorrow,
00:18 so you got to keep that in mind,
00:20 especially in places like Pennsylvania.
00:22 Think about this.
00:23 The road is wet.
00:24 You get the cold air.
00:25 The rapid freeze coming in behind
00:27 this front and that's going to mean
00:29 icy spots so please use caution
00:31 out there overnight tomorrow morning.
00:32 Though where we have the issues,
00:34 mostly the Northwest Oregon lit up
00:36 on the board here for red because
00:38 we've got the heavy rain coming in.
00:40 So this is where the slowdowns will
00:42 occur as more of that moisture from
00:44 that storm system takes aim on the
00:46 West Coast so places like Medford
00:48 expect significant travel delays.
00:50 Seattle there probably some minor delays,
00:51 but Dallas headed to some major
00:53 delays as we go throughout the day,
00:55 so there will be some impacts there.
00:57 We do have more major delays here.
01:00 Found in places like Boise,
01:01 minor delays I should say in Boise,
01:03 Reno.
01:04 It's going to be about those winds
01:06 really ramping up with this storm
01:07 system as it comes in.
01:09 Will also have some breezy times in
01:11 Los Angeles with a few morning showers.
01:13 And as we work our way into the Northeast,
01:16 yes, there's no showers again.
01:17 Lots of cold air moving through,
01:19 so watch out some icy spots
01:21 possible in the morning.
01:22 But as far as flight cancellations
01:24 are concerned,
01:24 we've knocked those way down.
