00:22 The celebrity, Mariel Padilla, already answered to the fake pictures of her IV drip inside the office of her husband, Senator Robin Padilla.

00:31 I had no intention whatsoever to disrespect the Senate or anything like that.

00:45 So I felt that it was a safe place because it was my husband's office.

01:05 Senator Nancy Binay, the chairperson of the Senate Ethics Committee,

01:09 made it clear that Mariel's IV drip was not prescribed by the Senate Clinic

01:13 and that the FDA and DOH did not approve the glutathione drip.

01:17 But Mariel made it clear that her IV drip is vitamin C and not glutathione.

01:22 She was accompanied by a professional nurse.

01:24 She was in the Senate to support her husband's work.

01:28 However, based on the abuse of the FDA,

01:31 the use of vitamin C injection is not safe because it can cause kidney stones to form

01:37 if the urine it will inject is acidic.

01:40 Senator Padilla wrote to the Sergeant at Arms and Medical Bureau Director of the Senate

01:45 to ask for a dispensary.

01:47 They did not say that they will not let the household servants to do the housework.

01:52 The Senate hopes that this will not happen again.
