00:00 Anastasia Olsen is breaking her silence after being hospitalized in serious
00:05 condition following a fall while performing in Disney on Ice. Taking to
00:11 her Instagram story on February 18th, the 31 year old professional skater shares a
00:17 quote by Alex L that reads, "Gentle reminder in your seasons of darkness may
00:22 you remember that your inner light cannot be dimmed. No matter what you're
00:26 walking through, you will return to yourself. Trust and believe that you are
00:31 healing. Always." On February 12th, officials at Hennepin County Medical
00:37 Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota confirmed to E! News that Anastasia, who
00:42 plays Belle from Beauty and the Beast in the show, was in quote "serious condition."
00:47 The officials also noted that Anastasia was hurt while performing during a
00:52 standard part of her routine. In a separate statement, the director, Global
00:56 Public Relations Feld Entertainment, the company behind Disney on Ice, told E!
01:01 News, "The skater who portrayed Belle was injured while performing a lift during a
01:06 pair skating part of the routine and fell. She was taken to a local hospital
01:11 for treatment. Disney on Ice appreciates the well wishes from our fans as our
01:16 team member recovers." The performance took place at the Target Center Arena in
01:21 Minneapolis, according to local NBC affiliate KRE11. An audience member
01:26 named Becca told the outlet in a phoner interview about the frightening moment.
01:31 "This happened about 40 minutes into the show. Within probably, I want to say 20 or 30
01:36 seconds, they had made an announcement that they were going to interrupt the show and
01:39 everything had gone to like really dark lighting." The outlet reported Becca took
01:44 her two children to the morning show of Disney on Ice and then showed a photo of
01:48 a tent that was set up on the ice to cover Anastasia while she was being
01:53 treated. "I am beyond grateful and thankful for the remaining staff and the
01:58 performers who kept going because that preserved the magic for them and that's
02:02 really, I know that had to have been very difficult." Last May, Anastasia reflected on her
02:07 skating career, noting that she had recently hit a milestone. She said on
02:11 Instagram at the time, "After such an emotional weekend, I thought to myself
02:16 how lucky I am to have called D20 my home for five years. The memories and
02:21 relationships I made here are unforgettable and irreplaceable. I've
02:26 laughed, I've cried, I've loved, and in the end, it was all so worth it."
