00:00 "Oh, you have no idea."
00:02 "Neither do I. What do I say?"
00:04 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the times that the Joey Tribbiani actor left his castmates and even himself
00:12 in stitches with accidental flubs and deliberate mess-ups.
00:15 "I don't know what to do! Or say!"
00:18 [Laughter]
00:21 Number 10. Staring straight down the lens.
00:24 When acting in front of a camera, there are a few simple rules.
00:27 Firstly, do not look directly down the lens.
00:31 The other is just 'cause the audience is laughing doesn't mean you should be too.
00:34 "I'm laughing 'cause they're laughing!"
00:36 "When they laugh, you're supposed to try to ignore it."
00:38 [Laughter]
00:39 Matt LeBlanc gives his co-star this acting-for-TV-101 refresher on two separate occasions,
00:44 but we're focusing on the one from Emma's first birthday party.
00:47 During one outtake, Courtney Cox confesses that her gaze momentarily met the camera.
00:52 Matthew Perry has plenty of fun with the flub.
00:55 But just as we think things are getting back on track, LeBlanc can't help but make his own dig too.
01:00 "Action!"
01:01 [Laughter]
01:06 Number 9. Do less.
01:08 A good actor is always willing to take notes to improve his performance,
01:12 and indeed, that's exactly what LeBlanc and Perry do here.
01:15 In the scene, Chandler and Joey run in when they hear Monica and Phoebe's wax-induced cries of pain.
01:20 [Screaming]
01:28 However, behind the scenes, it seems the moment needed a little tweaking until they got the energy just right.
01:35 Apparently, one of their attempts was a little too extra for someone off-screen.
01:39 "Hey!"
01:40 "Oh, it's okay. We're alright."
01:43 "Go back, go back."
01:44 [Laughter]
01:46 "That was less!"
01:47 So they try again with a more subdued performance.
01:50 Hey, they're just following directions.
01:52 Sure, that's another take they can't use, but it's a great addition to the gag reel.
01:56 [Screaming]
01:57 "What's the matter?"
01:58 [Laughter]
02:02 "Okay, okay, that's a prank."
02:04 Number 8. Secret-keeping.
02:06 An unfortunate jellyfish incident in the season 4 premiere leads to an even more undesirable solution.
02:11 So, when Joey, Chandler and Monica start acting weird, Ross tries to get to the bottom of it.
02:16 "What the hell happened on that beach?"
02:18 [Laughter]
02:20 "It's between us and the sea, Ross."
02:23 Joey's passionate delivery of the line in the aired take is hilarious.
02:27 And it seems LeBlanc thought so too.
02:29 "What the hell happened on that beach?"
02:31 [Laughter]
02:34 "It's between us..."
02:35 [Laughter]
02:38 In the bloopers, we see him struggling to get through the line without bursting into laughter and taking his scene mates down too.
02:44 At the rate he's going, he doesn't need to worry about anyone keeping his secret.
02:48 His inability to get through the dialogue pretty much takes care of that.
02:52 "What the hell happened on that beach?"
02:54 "It's between us and the sea, Ross."
02:57 [Laughter]
03:01 Number 7. Joey's a big fan of Rachel's trifle.
03:04 Rachel's Thanksgiving trifle is the catalyst for some of the series' funniest and most memorable moments.
03:09 "Oh my god, she made half an English trifle and half a shepherd's pie."
03:17 Turns out, it also offers a heaping of unforgettable bloopers.
03:21 David Schwimmer is the first to break as he overzealously tries to stuff his face with the trifle-shepherd pie hybrid dessert.
03:28 "Tastes like feet!"
03:30 [Laughter]
03:32 LeBlanc barely breaks character as he watches his cast mate laugh beside him.
03:36 However, he then pulls the Joey-est move of all and takes Schwimmer's portion for himself.
03:41 "That's too much!"
03:43 [Laughter]
03:47 It's hysterical and kind of gross.
03:50 Did he not see Schwimmer spit it back out?
03:52 We know Joey's a fan of the dessert, but surely he can't like it that much.
03:56 "Tastes like feet!"
03:58 [Laughter]
04:00 "I like it."
04:02 Number 6. Joey and Ross' nap.
04:05 After Joey and Ross unintentionally become nap buddies,
04:08 Joey spends the episode coaxing or tricking a hesitant Ross into joining him for another Perfects News.
04:14 "Think about maybe going upstairs and taking a little nap on my couch."
04:18 [Laughter]
04:21 "Why would I care about that?"
04:23 It's undeniably one of the more absurd storylines, but the entertainment factor is off the charts.
04:29 "I wanna do it again!"
04:31 [Laughter]
04:34 "We can't do it again."
04:36 "Why not?"
04:37 "Because it's weird!"
04:38 It seems that LeBlanc and Schwimmer found it just as funny, if not funnier than the audience.
04:43 In the gag reel, we see numerous takes ruined by them breaking.
04:47 [Laughter]
04:55 The guys only need to lock eyes before the laughter rolls in.
04:59 While you'd think the hilarity might subside after the umpteenth take, that doesn't seem to be the case here.
05:05 [Laughter]
05:15 Number 5. What do I smell?
05:17 After Monica and Rachel lose their apartment to the guys,
05:20 Monica goes overboard trying to make their new home the gang's hangout spot.
05:24 In the episode, one of her methods involves wafting the smell of freshly baked cookies towards the other apartment.
05:30 "Fresh cookies! Hot from the oven!"
05:32 "Oh!"
05:33 "Please have some."
05:34 "Oh, yo!"
05:35 "I've just been fiddling around in here, making delicious treats for everyone."
05:39 Let's be honest, that'd probably work on most of us.
05:41 So it's no surprise the group migrates towards the enticing scent.
05:45 However, LeBlanc's response to Phoebe's question in this outtake would probably send everyone across the hall too.
05:50 "What do I smell?"
05:52 "Sorry."
05:54 [Laughter]
05:56 This spontaneous ad-lib veers the scene way off course, as the hilarity of LeBlanc's remark lingers over the group.
06:02 "Smells good."
06:04 [Laughter]
06:12 "Oh no! It's all over."
06:15 Number 4. Either the dog goes or the mime goes.
06:19 If you had to pick between a dog and your floof-hating friend, who would you choose?
06:23 "Either the dog goes or I go."
06:26 "Huh."
06:28 [Laughter]
06:33 "Oh my God!"
06:34 Yeah, not so easy, is it?
06:36 Joey tries to warn him against sharing his unpopular opinion with the group, making way for this side-splitting blooper.
06:42 "Don't do it!"
06:44 [Laughter]
06:46 "Don't do what?"
06:47 "I have to, okay?"
06:49 [Laughter]
06:51 "Don't do it!"
06:53 "I have to!"
06:54 In the aired episode, the gang responds to Chandler's ultimatum with awkward silence.
06:59 But in the blooper, LeBlanc gives us a peek into what might be going on in Joey's head.
07:04 It's a surprisingly dark twist for the character, adding a ton of humor to the scene.
07:08 Perry perfectly caps off the gag with his own witty quip, highlighting the duo's incredible chemistry.
07:14 "Either the dog goes or the mime goes."
07:17 [Laughter]
07:18 Number 3. Rock, paper, scissors, fire?
07:21 Who hasn't made important decisions with a round of rock, paper, scissors?
07:24 How often do you find yourself in need of a tiebreaker?
07:27 When Joey, Ross, Rachel and Phoebe are late for Thanksgiving dinner,
07:30 they waste more time in the hallway deciding who should enter first and face their host's wrath.
07:35 Joey believes he has the winning move, until Phoebe rains on that parade.
07:40 "Ah, I win!"
07:42 "What is that? That's fire. Beats everything."
07:45 "Oh really? Does it beat water balloons?"
07:48 "Psh, psh."
07:49 In a blooper, Schwimmer shares some stronger words for Joey's unconventional move.
07:54 "Ah, I win!"
07:56 "What the f*** is that?"
07:58 [Laughter]
07:59 Still, it's LeBlanc who gets the last laugh.
08:01 In a subsequent outtake, when Ross asks Joey what he's doing, LeBlanc fires back,
08:06 igniting laughter from the rest of the cast.
08:09 "Ha ha, I win."
08:11 "What is that? That's f***ing fire."
08:13 [Laughter]
08:18 Number 2. Take off your robe.
08:20 Rachel finds out about Joey's secret annual parties and wrangles herself an invite.
08:24 However, it doesn't take her long to spill the beans to others.
08:27 "Joey is having a secret Days of Our Lives party up on the roof!"
08:31 "And, and he didn't want you guys to know about it, but I came over here to tell you."
08:35 In the aired take, Monica tries to call Joey out by insisting he open his robe
08:39 and reveal his party outfit underneath.
08:42 Instead, everyone catches a glimpse of Joey in his birthday suit.
08:45 "The game's over. Take off your robe."
08:48 "It's better either way."
08:51 "No!"
08:52 "No! No! Stay off! Stay off!"
08:55 As funny as that is, the outtake takes the humor up a notch.
08:59 When Joey goes to disrobe, the cast's reaction is a mix of surprise and amusement.
09:04 Why?
09:05 Well, Joey isn't bearing all, but he's got an interestingly placed photo of David Schwimmer.
09:10 You know, down there.
09:12 "Hey, I mean..."
09:13 "No!"
09:14 "No! No! Close it up!"
09:17 [Laughter]
09:20 Before we unveil our top pick, here are some honorable mentions.
09:24 Yoo-hoo! LeBlanc might regret his acting choice, but we don't.
09:28 "I wanna go over there to that boatload of girls. Yoo-hoo!"
09:31 "Oh, okay. Is that what you wanna do?"
09:34 "I don't wanna go, 'Yoo-hoo!'"
09:36 Chandler's freakout is too darn hilarious.
09:39 We'd probably have the same reaction if our friend freaked out that hard.
09:42 "He's gone. He's waiting."
09:44 [Laughter]
09:49 It's poor Shah! LeBlanc shifts the sincerity of the moment into reverse.
09:53 "Hey! It's poor Shah!"
09:56 [Laughter]
10:03 Playing Fort.
10:05 When Chandler catches his friends in the act, they just can't put a zip on their laughter.
10:10 "What are you guys doing?"
10:12 "Nothing."
10:14 "Nothing?"
10:15 [Laughter]
10:19 Holden McGroin.
10:20 No Friends fan will ever be able to say this fake stage name without smirking.
10:25 "I'll be reading for the role of Mercutio. Name? Holden McGroin."
10:29 [Laughter]

10:52 Number 1. Tripping over his mark.
10:56 The gang actually reminisced about this particular blooper during their 2021 reunion.
11:01 "He ran in, he looked at his mark, so it tripped on the map."
11:05 [Laughter]
11:07 In the episode, Joey bursts into Central Perk, all hyped up over his Soap Opera Digest interview.
11:12 However, the outtakes reveal a cascade of mishaps.
11:16 Joey takes a fall in the first, and subsequent takes are marred by glances at his mark,
11:21 a toppling chair, and a final gaffe courtesy of Matthew Perry.
11:25 Each blender is funnier than the last, even leaving executive producer Marta Kaufman in fits of laughter.
11:31 "Peeps, check it out."
11:33 [Laughter]
11:34 While luck may not have been on LeBlanc's side that day, fans were gifted with a string of goofs that,
11:40 much like Kaufman, left us rolling with laughter.
11:43 "Peeps, check it out, check it out, check it out, check it out."
11:46 [Laughter]
11:48 "Jesus."
11:49 [Laughter]
11:53 "I got problems, sorry."
11:55 Did we include your favorite LeBlanc flub? Let us know in the comments.
11:58 "We may not be great thinkers, or world leaders, or, or, or..."
12:05 [Laughter]
