00:06 And there was a bit of an intriguing topic this weekend
00:08 and really throughout the last week
00:10 as the Alabama men's basketball team
00:13 put out some new uniforms for this past Saturday's game
00:16 against Texas A&M.
00:17 Very popular, players seem to like them.
00:19 Incredibly well received by fans and on social media.
00:22 But now that kind of begs the question,
00:25 should they or will they stick around?
00:29 That's the thing.
00:30 I don't know if they will stick around.
00:31 I think they should.
00:32 I think they're a great alternate uniform,
00:34 one that they can wear at home.
00:36 And look, they're perfection to me.
00:38 With the throwback block A,
00:41 I really love the crimson and the tide.
00:44 I love the white piping on the lettering.
00:46 It's just a really good, clean looking uniform.
00:48 And they worked.
00:49 Alabama got the 100 to 75 victory over Texas A&M
00:53 at home at Comonkos.
00:54 See 'em?
00:54 They move up to number 13th in the country,
00:56 now one spot ahead of Auburn at number 14.
00:58 They're now the second highest ranked SEC team
01:00 behind Tennessee, who's believe is number five right now.
01:03 They're just a good looking uniform.
01:05 I think Alabama should keep 'em.
01:06 - It's an all new uniform design, just for some key details.
01:10 A lot of elements reminiscent of different eras.
01:14 You know, obviously the piping's very popular.
01:16 Had some red, had some gray on it.
01:18 The numbers are reminiscent of the early 2000s.
01:21 The crimson tie, I believe it on the front,
01:23 I believe is a new design,
01:24 or at least with that particular numeral is a new design.
01:28 And then of course the block A on the shorts,
01:29 which I liked, it was very minimalistic.
01:32 But it was succinct enough to still be a key centerpiece
01:37 of part of the uniform.
01:38 Now team accounts did make some posts
01:40 suggesting they were one and dones.
01:42 And I'm sure there are gonna be people out there
01:44 who are in that crowd that favors that option.
01:47 But an alternate uniform in Alabama is rare.
01:49 So in any case, there's a degree of special
01:52 that it is to see one broken out.
01:53 I do think that the sales numbers
01:55 would still be pretty high.
01:57 The bottom line would be pretty enticing
01:59 to keep them around, if nothing else.
02:01 The players, who knows, they seem to like it.
02:04 Like I said, they might lobby for it.
02:06 And who knows what can happen?
02:07 They were in the works for a long time,
02:10 but it's also hard to argue with the game result,
02:12 another prolific offensive day.
02:14 - Yeah, and I do think at the very least
02:18 they'll be sticking around in the stands
02:19 because the Crimson Chaos student section
02:21 led by Jacob Pickle gave out free jerseys for that game.
02:25 And the entire student section
02:26 all had the particular uniform.
02:28 So at the very least,
02:29 they'll be sticking around a little bit that way.
02:31 But again, I think they should stay.
02:32 And if they don't, oh well.
02:34 But it's a good looking uniform.
02:35 It'd be a shame if Alabama only wore it once.
