Ferrari celebrates the anniversary of the birth of Enzo Ferrari on February 18, 1898, with the unveiling of the livery of the 499P, which will compete in the Hypercar class of the FIA WEC 2024.

The championship season will kick off in Qatar on March 2, with cars number 50 and 51 fielded by the Ferrari – AF Corse team.

Tradition and innovation intertwine in the new look of the Ferrari Hypercar. While we closely recall last season, when the Italian team won the Centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans and finished second in the Constructors' standings, the new racing colors look to the future and introduce innovative elements.

Ferrari's red, synonymous with the Italian sporting spirit worldwide, combines with the traditional Giallo Modena yellow already seen in the company's 2023 livery, and together they emphasize the car's sculptural and dynamic lines.

The color scheme celebrates the Ferrari 312 PB, the last prototype to race in the World Championship in 1973 before the half-century hiatus was broken when the Prancing Horse returned to the top endurance class last year. The 499P is dominated by racing red, specially designed for the new season, combined with yellow accents from Giallo Modena. The dark, intense red of the bodywork is inspired by the F2007 single-seater model that Scuderia Ferrari raced in Formula 1 in 2007, but with the addition of new elements: these produce a brighter version of the Hypercar that increases the car's visibility at night.

The livery composition designed for the two 499P numbers 50 and 51, used by the six official Ferrari drivers, also differs from the previous year. The main aim is to highlight the car's body and cockpit with a two-stage color block, creating a fluid, compositional rhythm and a design that blends the two tones, enhancing the lines and three-dimensional quality of the surface geometry.

These features are clearly visible when looking at the Hypercar from the side: Giallo Modena surrounds the entire cockpit and underlines its physical and symbolic importance. New graphic features, lines and horizontal stripes of the same color extend in the lower part of the bodywork close to the rear wheel arches, in the upper part of the tail fin and inside the rear wing end plates, further emphasizing the concept of dynamism and speed. .

Like last year, the Ferrari – AF Corse team will race for the 2024 season with the numbers 50 and 51 team number 499P, consisting of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, as well as Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi, respectively.
