00:16 I have a tendency to kind of go against the Rangers sometimes because they get
00:20 into these strides and they end up losing such winnable games.
00:23 My biggest concern with the Rangers right now is that they have to start showing up
00:26 in the first period if they're gonna compete with some of the top teams in
00:30 the east, but to bounce back like they did once you get into playoff hockey,
00:33 it's those one and two goal game.

00:36 In the Stanley Cup finals, so they look good.
00:38 Jonathan Quick is more so their guy, Shusterkin's been very inconsistent,
00:41 which has been surprising.
00:43 Young players have stepped up, but most importantly,
00:45 the veteran presence on this team, specifically Chris Kreider.
00:48 He's been the hero.
00:49 If he remains consistent, Adam Fox remains consistent,
00:52 then this team is looking at a pretty decent playoff run.

00:58 They have 73 points, third best in the Eastern Conference, but
01:02 an eight point advantage for that top spot in the Metro.

01:15 What do you think New York's outlook is for that Eastern Conference playoff push?
01:18 >> The Rangers tend to choke sometimes.
01:22 If they heavily rely on their veterans to get the job done for them,
01:26 they're gonna end up looking at an early exit.
01:28 And they've seen this time after time again.
01:30 They know what the theme is that they have to beat heading into this playoff
01:33 series, and I know it as a Tampa Bay Lightning coverage person.
01:36 We've relied heavily on our veterans.
01:38 We've relied heavily on good goal tending, and
01:40 it's gotten a short majority of the time in these last two years.
01:44 So they're gonna have to get some more guys involved in the scoring action,
01:48 not make it so heavy on their veteran presence.
01:50 If they can make those adjustments, then yeah,
01:52 they're gonna make it to probably a third round.
01:54 But I don't think they're the best in the East.
01:56 I think there's always that sneaky team that gets in there.
