The updated 2024 Nissan JUKE has been shown in Europe ahead of its launch in Australia later this year, where the mid-life facelift of Nissan's second-generation subcompact SUV will bring an overhauled interior and a new N-Sport.

Local pricing and specifications details will not be confirmed until the local launch of the upgraded JUKE is closer, but it would be safe to expect some minor but not insignificant price increases with the MY24 improvements coming on the heels of the MY23 update released in October 2022.

Nissan is particularly proud to reintroduce the lush yellow colorway to the JUKE's exterior paint color palette, but that's the only exterior difference you'll see compared to the current model.

In fact, to see any major changes, you'll have to climb inside, where there's an all-new center console and reworked center dash headlined by a new touchscreen infotainment system that's angled eight more degrees towards the driver and extends to 12.3.

The new interface now includes wireless Android Auto as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and is complemented by the equally new 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster.

Other changes to the cabin include an enlarged glovebox, redesigned armrests, electric parking brake, wireless charging pad, sharpened rear camera view and upgraded seats for select models, as well as a wider variety of USB-A and USB-C ports.

No changes have been made to any of the JUKE's mechanical or chassis components; This means local versions will continue with the familiar 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which puts out 84kW/180Nm and drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-speed transmission. Automatic transmission with clutch is standard.

The same factory is almost certain to power the new N-Sport version, which aims to up the JUKE's aesthetic game with a black roof, pillars, mirrors and grille, as well as a unique alloy wheel design and 'JUKE' embossed Alcantara-covered seats.

Meanwhile, upgrades you don't always see, in Europe at least, will include the addition of lane departure warning for all grades and emergency lane keeping for the higher-spec half of the range.

Australia's second-generation Nissan JUKE, launched in 2020, already comes standard with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot warning, traffic sign recognition.
