00:00 The People's Court has not yet accepted a non-confidential case against PM Anwar Ibrahim
00:07 from the 14-day delay in the opening of the Parliament on 26 February.
00:14 After informing the FMT, the Speaker of the People's Court, Johari Abdul, also explained
00:19 that it is the right of all MPs to present a case that will be investigated by his office.
00:25 On 10 January, the MP for Pasir Gudang, Hassan Karim,
00:30 appealed to the National Association of Independent States to immediately present a non-confidential case
00:34 against PM Anwar Ibrahim before the opening of the Parliament on 26 February.
00:38 According to the rules of the Parliamentary Council, MPs are allowed to file a case notice
00:43 within 14 days before the hearing.
00:46 The case will then be submitted to the Council on the day of the hearing.
00:51 If the 14-day deadline is not met, MPs can still file a non-confidential case
00:58 in the matter of public interest at least 24 hours before the hearing.
01:03 The efforts to test PM Anwar's ability to present a non-confidential case
01:07 have been successful.
01:09 The majority of the 112 MPs who supported him were referred to the Langkah Dubai movement.
