00:27 As ever, it's always overwhelming. Always overwhelming.
00:32 The love and the support in the room, I always say, I wish I could bottle it myself.
00:40 But it just makes everything get bigger and better every year.
00:45 And I said a little while ago, as much as people come up to me at night and say that they find me inspirational,
00:53 it's not a made man's night for the rain. It's a made man.
00:57 Their stories and how I've become a storyteller.
01:02 The stories that these guys share, impact, audience, somebody who always takes something away from them.
01:12 Strength, courage, inspiration, and that's what Catwalk for a Queer is all about.
01:20 I think the fact that they're all entering a comfort zone, just speaks volumes for their own personal strength.
01:29 The fact that they are prepared to go out of their comfort zone because they're so passionate about getting exogenic to a greater audience.
01:41 I've got a business myself, and so I'm really, really mindful of the fact of how tough things are right now.
01:49 And so my expectations have always, always, always passed.
01:55 I couldn't believe it when it all, when my logistical situation and my age had been raised.
02:03 I'm always going away. That's why I gave my thanks at the beginning, because I totally crossed my lines at the end of last year.
02:10 Because I was pretty hopeful that my legs would be able to support me. And I was like, "Oh, I just need to get through this."
02:20 And then you're preparing already for next year, yeah?
02:24 Yes, I'm preparing already, 2025.
02:34 It was fantastic. It was nowhere near as nerve-wracking as I thought it was going to be.
02:40 I have to say my stomach was doing somersaults this afternoon.
02:44 But no, I enjoyed it. It was fantastic. Great experience.
02:49 I met some fantastic people. Just such a lovely thing to do.
02:55 I would highly recommend it to anybody in the future that gets asked or nominated.
02:59 I'm going to join family now and friends who have been here celebrating and, you know, egging me on.
03:06 They've been great. So, yeah, I'm going down now to relax.
03:10 It felt amazing tonight. I was really nervous at first.
03:20 But after the rehearsals and then doing the first catwalk tonight, and then the second one,
03:27 it was amazing to be part of this tonight.
03:30 It was better than I expected. I thought it was going to be good,
03:33 but it was an amazing night full of love and support for everybody.
03:38 So it was really nice.
03:40 It was great to be part of something like this and to raise money for the Highland Hospice,
03:46 to help raise, was great because they do fantastic work.
03:50 So it's just been a great day and night and it's enjoyed by everybody.
03:55 The models as well. We've all had a great day and night.
03:58 And we're going to keep in touch because they're a lovely bunch of people.
04:02 So this is my first time taking part in Catwalk for a Cause.
04:09 I have been to multiple other hospice events.
04:13 They host amazing events throughout the year.
04:17 So, yeah, I regularly come to them with my granny and her friends, actually.
04:21 They have a great time and the events are unmatched.
04:25 They're amazing and they always raise such a good amount of money for the hospice.
04:29 So I had previously met all the models down at the warehouse.
04:35 We looked through their outfits that they had and then they selected things that they did want to wear
04:40 or if they wanted to change things.
04:42 So I was kind of involved in the process from them picking their outfits to tonight.
04:48 But I had heard all their inspirational stories back then when I first met them and I was first introduced to them.
04:53 But even still hearing their stories again tonight, it's still so emotional.
04:59 And each one of them is such an inspiration.
05:02 And that is my main reason for taking the Highland Hospice to Miss World
05:10 and raising awareness for causes like this that are small in the Highlands but are really, really meaningful.
05:17 And this platform is perfect to raise awareness for them.
05:22 They were so good. I was so proud of every single one of them.
05:26 They had expressed they were nervous, some were excited, some were upset.
05:30 They didn't know how it was going to go.
05:32 But, yeah, it was so amazing seeing them all up there and they all looked absolutely stunning.
05:38 So, yeah, I was really proud of them.
05:41 You're heading off to a skater meet.
05:44 Mm-hmm.
05:45 How are you feeling?
05:47 A mixture of emotions just now.
05:50 Some days I'm nervous.
05:52 If I think about it too much, some days I'm stressed, trying to get everything organised.
05:57 Sometimes I'm super excited.
05:59 But I think once I'm there, once I'm on the plane, everything will go out the window and I'm just going to enjoy the experience.
06:08 Every experience is a good experience.
06:11 You learn something from everything that you do in life.
06:14 I'm just going to grab the wheel by the horns and just give it my all.
