00:00 Welcome in to Bama Central courtside. I'm Blake Byler here with Matthew Gibson at
00:04 Neville Arena after Alabama's 99 to 81. Yeah, 99 to 81 loss to Auburn. Matthew,
00:13 this was a close game for a little bit in the first half. Alabama went down
00:17 early, they came back, tied it at 39, then Auburn had this really big run at the
00:22 end of the first half and it kind of got out of hand from there on. What did you
00:25 see that really went wrong for Alabama this game? Honestly, it was the physicality of Auburn.
00:30 So Jani Broome, Jalen Williams. Jalen Williams himself, 26 points. Auburn played a
00:34 really inside physical game that Alabama really just could not contain. Auburn shot
00:38 50 free throws tonight. 50. I don't know how you're able to just contain that. It's
00:43 difficult, especially in a road, on an environment like this. Alabama just
00:47 couldn't get it done. Yeah, great environment. Auburn's Jani Broome and
00:51 Jalen Williams, both of their bigs combined for 50 points tonight. Like you
00:55 said, shot 50 free throws. Every time it felt like they would get it inside,
00:58 Alabama really had no answer. They were either laying it up or they were getting
01:01 fouled going to the free throw line. We didn't really learn anything new about
01:05 Alabama, I didn't think. I thought it was a lot of, like we knew Alabama
01:09 struggled with interior defense and that really got exposed tonight. We knew
01:12 Alabama struggled turning the ball over. That's another thing Auburn was able to
01:16 take advantage of. So to me, it really felt like Auburn was able to key in on
01:19 the things that we already knew were disadvantages for Alabama and that kind
01:22 of led to them running away with it. But the season's not over. Alabama still sits
01:27 now in a four-way tie atop the SEC standings with Auburn, South Carolina, and
01:31 Tennessee, all with two losses in SEC play. Alabama goes on the road this
01:36 Saturday at LSU. I don't believe we will have anyone there live for in-person
01:41 coverage, but we will have remote coverage for you at Bama Central. I think
01:45 we'll have somebody at the rest of the games. We should have someone at every
01:48 other game after that. So looking forward to that, looking forward to the rest of
01:51 the season. But this has been Bama Central Quartzsite. Thank you so much for watching.
