00:19 He invited me to an evening they had, a fundraiser, where Pete Newell and John Wooden appeared
00:26 and discussed basketball, their friendship, their rivalry.
00:31 It was a marvelous evening.
00:33 A couple of hours of these old basketball savants, and they were still sharp and they
00:39 were terrific and funny and informative.
00:42 And it was one of the great basketball evenings of my life.
00:45 And for that, Bill McClintock gets my lifetime achievement award for sure.
