00:00 As if the leader of the Bansamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

00:04 opposed the decision of the Mindanao to separate from the Philippines,

00:07 the agreement is already a big deal for their Bansamoro.

00:11 But a Muslim rights group is looking at it.

00:13 The decision is just like politics.

00:15 Chino Gaston is on the case.

00:17 To fight the Anilay Kapakanan of the Bansamoro or Muslims in Mindanao,

00:25 the Moro National Liberation Front fought against the government from 1969 to 1996.

00:32 And the Moro Islamic Liberation Front from 1977.

00:36 In 2012, they announced a peace agreement with the MILF

00:40 which was added in 2014 and was returned to the final establishment

00:45 of the Bansamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao or BARMM.

00:50 It was fought for several decades.

00:53 So in the middle of the re-assault of the separation of Mindanao by some politicians,

00:58 BARMM Chief Minister Ahud Balawag Ibrahim,

01:03 or better known as Al Haj Murad,

01:06 who was one of the former leaders of the MILF,

01:09 he urged the people to protect the peace process in the MILF

01:14 and support the current administration for peace.

01:18 Although there are still many things to do,

01:21 there is a lot of pressure to implement the comprehensive agreement on the Bansamoro

01:26 towards the liberation of the Bansamoro.

01:28 The Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity, Secretary Carlito Galvez,

01:34 said that the calls to destabilize the country should be put aside,

01:39 like the separation of Mindanao from the Philippines,

01:42 which is against the Constitution.

01:46 It is also against the principle of the country benefiting from the fruits of the peace process

01:51 that erupted in the decade of armed conflict in Mindanao.

01:55 The groups that support the rights of Muslims in Mindanao also said

02:00 that it is the same in politics.

02:03 Most of the people who want to destroy Mindanao

02:06 came from Luzon and Visayas.

02:10 They are not indigenous to Muslim Mindanao.

02:13 And if you're in Mindanao, and if you're talking about

02:17 will the Muslims follow secession,

02:22 our fellow countrymen are already tired of the war.

02:28 I mean, think about it. We've been fighting for how many decades?
