Oklahoma OT Tyler Guyton Senior Bowl Interview
Transcript
00:00 What did you want to show the scouts out there in Ohio?
00:02 I can do it. I'm ready. I've been working on things. I love football. I don't know what I'm going to show.
00:08 And then with such a stacked class, offensive line and wide receiver especially, is there anything...
00:14 Are you trying to add versatility to your game or are you working on more of something specific?
00:18 I'm just trying to get better at everything. I do feel like this is a pretty neat type of class.
00:22 I like it. I like that there's competition. I like that there's other things that you can do.
00:26 I feel like that makes me better so I can take something from their game and add it to mine.
00:31 The Ferris fans love you. Can we get a bear down?
00:33 Bear down.
00:34 Hey, appreciate it.
00:35 Give us a self-assessment of your first two days of practice.
00:38 I feel like I was just trying to be more physical. I feel like I showed that I have physicality.
00:42 It's like an A-marker that I sometimes tend to play slow. I showed that I got it.
00:46 Given that this is a strong offensive line class, how are you feeling about that?
00:52 Do you feel like you take it as a challenge?
00:55 Of course I do. It's good in competition. These guys have turned into my brothers.
01:01 I'm a big fan of the offensive line that I'm in the draft class.
01:04 I feel like it's only doing good things for the rest of us no matter what the status is.
01:08 We're all making each other better.
01:14 I feel like you working out with Paul, obviously you and him are both big size.
01:21 What's it like to go up against somebody like that and be able to work with someone that size?
01:26 Do you think that's helping you?
01:28 Oh yeah, I feel like we both add to each other's game.
01:31 We're both big athletes. I guess you could say we're all talent.
01:35 This is my guy right here. I met him a while back when I was on a visit to Houston.
01:39 We've been tight ever since.
01:41 Tyler, where do you see yourself at the next level?
01:45 Do you see yourself as a right tackle or a left tackle?
01:49 Honestly, whatever any team wants me to play, I'm going to play.
01:53 Left or right, it doesn't matter to me. I just want to make any team that I can better.
01:57 Awesome.
01:58 I noticed that you and Christian Haynes really work well together, work together all the time.
02:03 Do you have a good relationship with him?
02:05 Did you guys just start here? Have you known each other for a little while?
02:07 How did that start?
02:08 We're training together for our pre-draft process in Orange County.
02:12 That's my guy. He's been one of my closest friends since I got out there.
02:16 I really do feel like we click. We go over plays together.
02:19 We do everything together. He's a really smart dude.
02:21 He's an athlete. He's mean, he's tough, he's nasty.
02:24 He's everything you want in an offense. I love working with Christian.
02:27 Go ahead.
02:29 If there's one thing coaches should take away from your game this week, what would it be?
02:33 Physicality. I'm trying to improve that. I'm trying to show that I got it.
02:36 Thank you.
02:37 Throughout your development, who are some of the tackles that you've liked watching the most?
02:40 I like the OGs, Trent and Lane. Of course, I've watched a lot of them.
02:44 As of right now, I've recently been watching Kadesu and Andrew Thomas.
02:48 I watch a lot of those guys.
02:49 Have you met with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week or have plans to?
02:52 Have I met with them?
02:53 Yeah.
02:54 I have. I have met with them.
02:55 Do you remember who you met with?
02:56 No.
02:57 What's the biggest challenge you've faced in this pre-draft process?
03:01 I don't really think there's any challenge. I'm really enjoying this whole process.
03:07 Everything that comes with it is fun to me. It's a first-in-a-life experience.
03:10 I'm taking everything really good.
03:12 What's something that's the most exciting to you that you've either done in this pre-draft process or are going to do?
03:17 Honestly, I really like meeting with the teams.
03:20 It's a dream come true to meet with actual NFL teams and watch my fans with them and answer the questions that they got.
