ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ವೇಗದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿರುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬಜೆಟ್ ಭಾಷಣದ ವೇಳೆ ನಿರ್ಮಲಾ ಸೀತಾರಾಮನ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
