00:00 What do you remember from the conversations when he brought up the Christian McCaffrey
00:03 trade and what it would take to bring Christian here? What do you remember? He debuted against
00:07 the Chief and now looking back on that, when you see how the team is and how he is now,
00:11 what do you recall? Yeah, he thought it was a lot to give up for a running back and I think
00:18 John and I thought it was just the right amount to give up for Christian. And I remember that
00:27 very vividly where it's like, look, it's not a pass rusher, it's not a quarterback, but
00:31 you know, it's a good player, but like, do we want to give up that much? And like collectively,
00:36 it was, do you want him to go to LA? Like, did you want like, you know, this is where we are,
00:42 right? And, and I mean, as somebody that plays poker a little bit, like, you don't, you don't
00:48 go all in on like, you know, six jack offsuit, right? When you have a pair of jacks or ace king,
00:56 like you might not win the hand, but like, that's the time that you want to push your chips into
01:01 the middle. And I feel like that's where we were with Christian and we did give up a lot,
01:05 but I think we have one of the best, if not the best player in the national football league on
01:10 our team. And, you know, for Kyle, because he cares so much about the overall organization
01:16 and you, you look at us when we draft, when we do things in free agency, it's generally
01:22 on the defensive side of the ball. Like we generally do not draft offensive players super
01:27 high. We're not doing a ton of stuff in free agency for offensive players. It is more that
01:32 he's focused on the defense because he knows he's going to spend more time on the offense.
01:37 And I think it was just making sure that he felt comfortable knowing that like, it might not work,
01:41 but it's, it's a bet that we're all willing to make.
