00:06 Super excited to work with Dave.

00:09 Me and Dave have known each other for many years now.

00:13 >> Seven years.

00:14 >> Yeah, and this is a dream come true for both of us.

00:18 The way Dave carries himself is a lot of the way that I carry myself,

00:23 which is with honor, integrity, and we're gonna work our butts off.

00:28 So first, I just wanna start off by thanking David and Nicole Tepper.

00:34 It's been great working with you guys.

00:38 It's gonna get better and better.

00:40 There's gonna be a process.

00:43 There's gonna be alignment in our building.

00:45 And we're gonna do things the right way to build a championship team here.

00:49 And obviously, it's a great honor to be named the GM of the Carolina Panthers.

00:57 We've had the plan here seven years with greats like Mike Rucker.

01:02 One of my best friends is here, Vinnie Churchill, he's here.

01:05 Mike Tolbert's here, Thomas Davis, Jonathan Stewart.

01:11 All these guys here, Muhsin Mohammed, you guys are the best, man.

01:16 And doors are always open.

01:19 You guys are family, and we're gonna make it a family environment.

01:23 And that's the kind of environment that me and Dave wanna create around here.

01:26 So you guys are family.

01:28 We're gonna do everything in our power to build this team the right way,

01:34 not only on the field, but off the field.

01:37 The type of character guys that we bring in are gonna be guys that love football,

01:41 play with passion, and play with the relentless pursuit of greatness.

01:46 There's several people that I'd like to say thank you to.

01:52 Trent Kirshner, he's out in Seattle right now.

01:55 He called me 14 years ago, he called me and

01:58 he said I think you'd be a really good scout, Dan.

02:00 And I didn't know if I wanted to do this or not, but

02:04 14 years later here I am as the GM.

02:07 So I guess he has a pretty good eye for who's a good talent evaluator.

02:12 So I thank him.

02:15 John Schneider and Pete Carroll, they were so much fun to work with.

02:19 I learned so much as a young scout out there.

02:23 I was just a pro scout driving guys to the airport, putting the work in.

02:28 And John and Pete were just so great to work under.

02:32 And for me and Dan to be able to learn under them is just,

02:38 I mean, you can't get that experience anywhere, so I wanna thank them.
