00:26 [Music]
00:37 Chef Julio, this is awesome to be here at the new Barrio Queen in Surprise!
00:43 You're excited because there's a happy hour that is all over the different Barrio Queens that you guys are so proud to come back with.
00:50 And you got some great dishes on that menu, don't you?
00:52 Really good dishes. We have seven different dishes, all varieties of everything. So yeah, it's a great, great menu.
00:58 And you have the people's favorites. That's of course the street tacos.
01:01 Yes.
01:02 So guacamole?
01:03 There's no guacamole on the happy hour menu, but you can always do a table side.
01:08 But we got some elote ribs, we got some flautas, empanadas, some nachitos, which is a smaller version of nachos.
01:14 Oh my gosh, so a lot there on food.
01:16 Oh man, this is awesome. What's also awesome is that you guys have decided to bring back the fajitas.
01:21 After everybody couldn't hear where the fajitas were. Now they are permanently on the menu?
01:25 They are. We started as a summer special. They did so good that we brought it out for the fall.
01:29 And now they made it into a regular menu. So yes.
01:32 All right, let's make some because you're gonna make some right here for us. So how does this all start?
01:35 So we got some mix of peppers, poblano peppers, red peppers, red onions and yellow onions.
01:40 So I'm going to start with some oil here.
01:42 I'm just going to do the veggies. Hot. Stand back a little bit.
01:45 Oh, stand back. OK.
01:47 All right. So we're just going to saute this for a little bit. Let it go.
01:53 And then we'll add some seasoning. So there's a mixture of spices, oregano, cumin and other things that I can't tell you.
02:00 You can't tell me. Later on you will.
02:02 I will. And then to finish it off, a little bit of soy sauce, which is going to add a lot of flavor and just bring everything together.
02:09 Oh man, let's see. Oh, look at that.
02:12 And that's what's so great about this dish is that it's healthy. It's good for you.
02:16 Oh, yeah. And it can feed more than one person.
02:18 Oh, absolutely. So what we have over here, we have our trio fajitas, which is some adobo grilled shrimp, some carne asada and some marinated chicken as well.
02:27 Yeah. So you got the veggies right here. And then I like that. Is that a side of rice and beans?
02:31 Yeah. So this is a side for the fajitas. We got some churro beans.
02:34 We got some Mexican rice, some avocado crema and some fresh flour tortillas for you to make tacos.
02:39 Oh my gosh, this is amazing. Also, too, we got to mention you got that burrito that everyone loves. It's just, I mean, to die for.
02:47 Yeah. The Azteca burrito, it's rice and beef short rib and it's topped with our green sauce and our red pepper sauce.
02:54 Oh man, this is great. All right. Is this almost ready?
02:57 Yeah, this is it. So we're just going to plate it.
02:59 OK. So we'll put the veggies right here and then we'll just finish it off like that.
03:03 We add just a little bit of water there so you get that smoke.
03:07 All right there. Man, this looks so delicious. Well, we also know that with those happy hour menu items, we got to have a drink, right?
03:15 We do. Absolutely. All right. I'm going to head to the bar.
03:17 Matt, chef just cooked me the amazing fajita that's back on the menu.
03:29 Oh, yeah. Now there is a happy hour that you have to come by for cocktails.
03:33 Everybody can do beer, but here at Barrio Queen, you guys do tequila.
03:36 We do. We do. And we do a lot of it. Yeah, for sure.
03:39 So let's start down here. What do we have here for happy hour?
03:42 So starting down here, that's going to be our house made sangria.
03:45 So we're going to put a little bit of all natural mango puree down at the bottom.
03:48 Fresh red wine sangria and that garnish that with an orange wheel.
03:52 We got amazing food as well. You know, Julio did a great job curating a menu specific for happy hour.
03:57 Potato empanadas, elote ribs, flautas, tacos, tons of great food.
04:03 There you go. All right. You can't come into the Barrio Queen while having a margarita.
04:06 Am I right? You have to. You have to. And you got not just one.
04:09 You got a couple of different ones. We do. So in all the margaritas are going to be five dollars during our happy hour.
04:14 The ones that we're going to feature is going to be the Barrio margarita.
04:16 That's just a classic straightforward margarita. We've got the skinny margarita as well.
04:21 We've got the infuego for a spicy margarita. And then we have our jalapeno margarita.
04:26 We're going to infuse that tequila in house, too. Gosh, OK.
04:29 You got the Don Julio going, but not just one shot of Don Julio. You got a couple of different shots of that.
04:33 We do. We got three. Right. You can't just have one. So that's going to be our tequila flight.
04:37 So that's Don Julio half price during happy hour, two to six Monday through Friday at all locations.
04:44 And then at Glendale, Avondale and Gilbert every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday. Happy hours.
04:48 All right. Before we introduce this one tequila, I got to make sure people know that I am a member of the team because you guys are carrying Mark Wahlberg's
04:57 Fletcher up in here. Am I right? We are. We are. And absolutely amazing tequila.
05:02 Number one sipping Blanco in the world. Right. And we've got four different variations of that.
05:07 We got the Blanco, the Repo, the Anejo and then the Cristalino as well.
05:11 Oh, my gosh. And you got a signed bottle by him. I have not got a signed bottle by him yet.
05:14 Well, we got the inside hookup with him. And if you want to know, this is his favorite right here.
05:19 If you want to sip a little bit. I love again. It's awesome. Happy hour going on here.
05:23 Now, I just got to say, you know what? What time is happy hour start to go still six o'clock.
05:28 OK, so you're going to be able to get five dollar two tacos. You're going to be able to get flautas, potato empanadas.
05:34 We've got nachitos, elote ribs, two to six, all eight Valley locations.
05:39 Don't forget Glendale, Avondale and Gilbert is seven days a week.
05:43 I love it. There you go. All right. I'm going to just borrow this.
05:46 And let's go make my drink.
