00:03 As it pertains to the Super Bowl MVP, this generally is a quarterback award.
00:07 That's not to say that other players haven't won it.
00:09 Once every few years, somebody has a big pick or wide receiver.
00:14 We've seen it happen in the past, New England, at the on branch when in one year.
00:18 But Mahomes and Purdy are just so overwhelming favorites over on FanDuel
00:21 plus 140 plus 200 that I don't know that it's much fun to even talk about Jacob.
00:26 So let's see if we can find anybody else, maybe a reason.
00:28 Christian McCaffrey plus 450.
00:31 And then my gosh, it's all the way down to Kelsey at 17 to 1,
00:34 Debo Samuel 33 to 1, Isaiah Pacheco 35 to 1.
00:39 And look, I suppose McCaffrey is interesting because if he ended up with
00:43 like three scores, we could have that talk.
00:45 If Kelsey had the game that he had last week,
00:48 then we could have that conversation with him.
00:50 But then you would look at Mahomes and say, wait a second here,
00:52 the guy throwing it to him deserves the award as well.
00:54 It does feel like a quarterback usually wins.
00:56 Can we make a case for anyone else?
00:58 I think you can make a very good case for Travis Kelsey here for a few reasons.
01:03 It's a lot of narrative stuff here.
01:05 One of the things, no tight end has ever won Super Bowl MVP.
01:08 So you know the NFL and its voters in a situation where if he has a big game,
01:13 they love to have these first time things.
01:15 So you could see if Kelsey gets 10 catches, 100 yards and a touchdown,
01:20 you could certainly see him work his way into that.
01:22 I'll look at this performance, especially if he has something along the lines of
01:26 half of Mahomes yardage total.
01:28 Mahomes goes for like 225 and Kelsey has over 100.
01:31 I think we'll be talking about Kelsey as a potential MVP candidate.
01:35 Also, if Mahomes has two touchdowns and they're both to Kelsey,
01:39 I think that becomes a tiebreaker because you have maybe a little voter fatigue with going
01:43 Mahomes if the Chiefs are to win the Super Bowl.
01:46 So they might be looking to give it to someone else.
01:48 So at 17 to one odds, I really like Travis Kelsey there.
01:52 I think he's a solid bet.
01:53 And that's one where if you think the Chiefs are going to win this game,
01:56 which they are currently my lean, I haven't locked that in by any means yet.
02:00 But if you're going to go with the Chiefs, you could pair Kelsey bet with the Mahomes bet
02:04 and kind of hedge them yourselves and give yourself a really good chance of
02:08 taking home a good payout if Travis Kelsey wins.
02:12 And if you think this is going to be a defensive slog like I do,
02:14 you can also pick a defensive player if you want to get really, really bold.
02:18 But a lot has to go in your favor for that to happen.
02:21 So those are more of those like fun, long shots,
02:23 like a Chris Jones or a Legerius Snead or Trent McDuffie if you go with the Chiefs.
