00:00 It's an incredible thing. I mean, feeling as I do about this man and his legacy and his music.
00:07 Having the opportunity to make this film with his family.
00:10 We shot quite a bit of it here in the UK and even visited places that Bob was here in the UK.
00:16 Battersea Park and Oakley Street. It's incredible.
00:19 And obviously we've got our incredible Bob and Rita.
00:24 And they did such an incredible job and so many incredible UK actors in our cast.
00:30 So it's incredible. Incredible.
00:32 Well I think there's something about this story where it was in London that he reported Exodus.
00:43 Which is one of his landmark records.
00:46 And I feel like this is a period in this film of almost like an exile.
00:51 Exodus is a story of exile and Bob's whole life was about these transitions.
00:56 And this is one of the crucial ones.
00:58 And as Ziggy was saying, this is in a way one of the most formative periods of his life.
01:04 So the fact that it happened in the UK and the community that he can speak to here
01:12 is obviously a big part of what we hope the film will ignite.
01:17 I mean his catalogue is almost supernatural in nature.
01:23 I have my favourites.
01:25 You know, there's probably like a 10-way tie for first or something or a 50-way tie for first.
01:32 But I love the songs in the movie.
01:37 Songs like War and Redemption Song obviously.
01:43 Also some of the deeper cuts like So Just Say and Talking Blues.
01:48 And even some of the early Studio One stuff.
01:52 I'm in a nerd out here so you want to shut me up probably.
01:56 He was a deeply spiritual person.
02:01 A person of great clarity about what was important to him in life.
02:06 He seemed to be somebody that had like a transcendent message.
02:13 That everything was intentional in the service of that.
02:17 And I think that's why the music hits so hard.
02:21 Because it was animated by something really not normal.
02:27 Which is a deeply spiritual purpose.
02:30 And he seemed to be from what I can understand, somebody that really made the most of a very sadly short time.
