00:00 I'm a huge fan of Bob Marley, you know, because his music is genius and just
00:06 became the voice of such a powerful message and fearless about bringing his
00:11 message forward. We came to this world to fight for love and justice while filling
00:17 our souls with the most infectious rhythm that brings joy to our hearts.
00:23 You could not even hear the lyrics and even musically speaking it reaches you
00:27 like in a place that's so peaceful and like is calming I think and I think the
00:30 human race needs that. I mean Bob's music is like medicine. Bob's music and message
00:36 were so aligned with who he was as a human. One of the most legendary people
00:42 that ever lived this earth. He's on the playlist for the good vibes that his
00:45 music brings. You know these songs, you know what they've meant to our culture,
00:49 you've got an identifiable genre that's so closely related to one person and
00:56 when you think of reggae music you think of Bob Marley. Bob Marley revolutionized
01:01 reggae music. His music transcended race. Bob Marley is like a universal artist
01:07 like Bob Marley jams are bumped in fraternities on the East Coast and at
01:12 festivals in South Korea and in shanty towns in Nairobi like that music is felt
01:18 everywhere. He is a legend and he is unforgettable. Only one Bob Marley. These
01:26 songs will live on forever. They're like new age hymns. They're spirituals for a new
01:30 contemporary age and when you hear them your life is changed. You know he sang
01:35 with conviction about what mattered to him. It takes courage to do that. I mean
01:40 he did it to a point that almost got him killed and so to me Bob represents
01:45 courage and the creative spirit. I think Bob as a writer is very inspiring and
01:50 how he was able to put real-world problems into his music in such a grand
01:56 way that we could all relate to. His energy and his presence changed the
02:01 world really for the better. Bob Marley music makes me feel happy.
02:07 It's a very powerful messages that touch my heart. His music always has a message
02:13 and I think that music is timeless, iconic artists. One of the greatest songwriters no matter
02:19 what genre. I'm from East Africa and in East Africa like Bob Marley is just
02:23 like a sensation even to this day. Actually early on when we were starting
02:28 Pete and I didn't really agree on a lot of things musically but we agreed on Bob
02:31 Marley. Totally. Bob Marley represents Jamaica and his culture. We went to see
02:38 Bob Marley at Madison Square Garden. I had never experienced a vibe like I
02:46 experienced that night. Thank you, thank you Bob Marley. Your vibe will live forever.
02:52 When he's talking about real serious stuff there's always that underlying
02:56 message of you know one love and everything's gonna be alright. Putting
03:01 the message beyond the music and I believe that that's something Bob Marley
03:06 brought to the gallery. He really dedicated himself to what he was doing.
03:12 As my grandfather said this music will keep growing until it reaches and finds
03:17 the right people. It's meaningful. You could really feel his soul in the music. It
03:23 inspired so many people. Bob Marley's music and his message is the biggest evidence that we have today that the world can be better.
03:32 He gave us his soul. He gave us his true honest opinions and thoughts and it still is
03:37 on today in his songs. It's amazing to see the legacy that he has left. People
03:43 always sing his song all the time. Redemption Song. That's one of the first
03:48 songs I remember learning how to play.
03:51 Redemption song. The songs of freedom.
04:00 Great music never dies. Good vibrations never die and he was all about good
04:05 vibrations and the vibrations they just keep vibing higher and higher. Thank you
04:11 for your spiritual music that continually nourishes, heals and inspires.
04:17 My deepest love and respect goes out to you always. One love.
04:24 Gonna be alright!
