USA's Rishi Ramesh on their ICC U19 Cricket World Cup group stage exit after defeat to India
Transcript
00:00 Rishi, can you sum up your reaction to today's game?
00:04 It was quite a good experience. I think playing against someone with such a high standard, India obviously historically have been a great team.
00:10 I think it gives us a reality check to see where we're at.
00:14 What was it like playing against India today, a game that you called out as one you were looking forward to prior to the event?
00:20 It was honestly a good experience. I think seeing them play some high quality cricket obviously inspired us quite a bit.
00:27 In our bowling innings we honestly did well until the later parts, so I think we were impressed with how they did as well.
00:36 You seemed quite backs to the wall at times during their batting innings and a few missed opportunities as well in the field.
00:44 Did that impact the team's confidence?
00:46 Yeah, I think so. Obviously when you drop someone and they go on to score 100, it doesn't do well for the team overall.
00:51 But I think in the field for the most part we did do a good job, just a few moments here and there kind of let us down.
00:57 How would you sum up the team's batting? You obviously dug deep there.
01:00 I think we did well in parts to stick around and try to get set, but I think overall our batting hasn't been great.
01:08 Obviously I haven't been in the runs.
01:12 And of course you've got one more game left against Afghanistan. How would you sum up your World Cup experience?
01:18 It's been a great experience so far. It's been good for the whole team to see good quality cricket and to play on these types of fields.
01:27 So it's good for us.
01:30 Great, thanks Richie.
01:31 Thank you.
