Abdoul Kader ILBOUDO is the founder of the company "Malegré Agro Sylvo Pastorale," specialising in poultry farming. Simultaneously, he is pursuing a degree in medicine.
His interest in poultry farming developed through home-based breeding. In 2020, he initiated the company with 100 cockerels and currently sells 1000 chickens per month. Besides chicken production, the company also produces eggs and provides advisory services to poultry farms.
Abdoul Kader ILBOUDO envisions expanding the business further. "Within the next two to three years, we plan to have a large hatchery. A hatchery with a capacity of at least 50,000 eggs. We are also hoping and working to become a major poultry producer in Burkina Faso and in the sub-region," he stated.

00:00 In the entrepreneurial world, it's the youth,
00:02 that is, the big eat the small.
00:04 All that drives the entrepreneur is his courage
00:09 and being honest about everything.
00:11 I am a student in the sixth year of medicine
00:19 at the University of Zimbabwe.
00:21 Before the idea of creating a business came to me,
00:23 I started farming at home.
00:27 I started with 100 coconuts.
00:29 I used the oil lamp for heating.
00:33 I get up in the morning,
00:34 I have to do the heating,
00:36 at night you get up at 22, 23 hours.
00:38 Practically, the first five days,
00:40 I can say that I didn't sleep.
00:41 I left here at 2 o'clock.
00:43 But when I get home, I rest.
00:45 At 7 o'clock I'm in class.
00:47 Since the virus, we have faced a lot of problems.
00:54 First of all, to acquire the seeds,
00:56 it was very difficult to find good quality seed suppliers.
00:59 After raising your subjects until the end,
01:02 until the age of maturity,
01:04 and that they had to be sold,
01:06 the sale also became a problem.
01:08 We faced financial problems.
01:11 At one point, it was not going well.
01:13 It was really a struggle.
01:14 To get to the end, you couldn't do much.
01:18 All your income,
01:20 you put it in the bank.
01:22 I started with 100%.
01:24 In a month, we can sell about 1,000 heads.
01:28 He is a very ambitious young man,
01:34 and very honest in his activities.
01:37 He is a very rigorous person.
01:40 What I like about him is that
01:43 he doesn't mix activity and friendship.
01:46 The appreciation is really positive.
01:48 He is to be congratulated because
01:50 he is always available for us.
01:53 When we have a problem, he is there.
01:55 Even when we don't have a problem,
01:57 he is there to visit,
01:59 to see if the seeds are doing well.
02:01 In two to three years,
02:06 we expect to obtain a large quota.
02:09 A quota of a capacity of at least 50,000 eggs.
02:14 We also hope and work to become
02:19 a very large company of poultry production
02:22 in Burkina Faso and also in the sub-region.
02:25 The vision is great.
02:27 It is bold,
02:29 but we think we must dare to invent the future.
