00:30 Stay tuned for the answer in a moment.

02:00 As usual, we meet again in My Quran Time.
02:05 Quran, prayer and benefit.
02:07 Alhamdulillah, today we have reached Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 86.
02:15 InshaAllah, we will give some extracts that are related to some of the Ahlul Kitab.
02:22 And also how someone should interact with the blessings that Allah SWT has bestowed upon us.
02:32 Alhamdulillah, today I am not alone as usual. I am accompanied by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Termizi.
02:39 Assalamualaikum Ustaz.
02:40 Waalaikumussalam.
02:41 How are you Ustaz?
02:42 I am fine, Alhamdulillah.
02:43 This is the first time we are together.
02:48 Alhamdulillah, it is 2024.
02:51 People say, as we get older, we will be closer to the grave.
02:57 How is that Ustaz?
02:58 Allah Akbar.
02:59 We are getting further away from the worldly life and we are getting closer to the grave.
03:04 So, it is not a negative thing.
03:05 If we know where we are going or where our destination is, we should increase our provisions.
03:13 So, Ustaz, can you share with our audience the verse that we will be reciting today?
03:20 Please.
03:21 InshaAllah, thank you Fadhil, our Penta Dabbur.
03:25 Fadhil Dr. Arif Musa.
03:27 And to our audience who are always enthusiastic.
03:32 When we get older, we should increase our practices and be closer to the grave.
03:40 We hope to be closer to Allah SWT through our good deeds.
03:45 And to our audience who are always enthusiastic, who are with us in the studio, Penta Dabbur and also in the choir.
03:57 Alhamdulillah, we are also enthusiastic.
03:59 And we are sure that our audience at home are also enthusiastic about the Quran.
04:07 Because the Quran is the only book.
04:09 This is the book that saves people, that brings people out of darkness into light.
04:15 Alright, I would like to pass it to the doctor who has our synopsis today.
04:21 So, ladies and gentlemen, may Allah SWT bless you.
04:24 So, the verse that we will be interpreting together is the verse number 86 to the verse number 88.
04:32 So, you can see the synopsis on the screen.
04:37 In verse number 86, it is a punishment for those who disobey Allah SWT.
04:46 In verse number 87, it is a call to those who believe not to exceed the limits.
04:55 And in verse number 88, it is about the commandment to eat good and righteous food to Allah SWT.
05:06 So, ladies and gentlemen, let us start our knowledge session with the prayer.
05:11 Subhanak la ilmana illa ma'allamtana innaka antal 'alimul hakim rabbi zidina ilma warzuqna fahma.
05:21 So, ladies and gentlemen, to take blessings from the verses that we will be interpreting,
05:27 I would like to read the first verse for you.
05:30 Please, sir.
05:31 To allow me to cough a little.
05:33 InshaAllah Allah will forgive you.
05:36 Alhamdulillah, ladies and gentlemen, let us focus on the three verses today.
05:40 Verse number 86, 87 and 88.
05:44 You can see the synopsis.
05:46 You know where the verse is going.
05:49 Let us read it together.
05:51 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
05:53 And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, those are the companions of Hell.
06:19 O you who believe, do not make lawful to the birds what Allah has made lawful to you,
06:44 and do not worship. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors.
07:07 So eat of what Allah has provided for you, lawful and good.
07:23 And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
07:42 And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, those are the companions of Hell.
07:47 O you who believe, do not make lawful to the birds what Allah has made lawful to you,
07:53 and do not worship. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors.
07:58 So eat of what Allah has provided for you, lawful and good.
08:04 And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
08:09 Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah bless you.
08:11 The verse number 86 tells us about the disbelievers and those who deny the signs of Allah.
08:20 They are the companions of Hell.
08:24 We can say that this verse is the closing to the story of the people of the Bible.
08:34 In verse 82, Allah says that there are a few Christians who are close to the believers.
08:48 Why? Because they have a good character.
08:53 They have learned people and they have a good character.
08:56 This character is among the worshippers.
08:59 And this character is a good character.
09:04 When the Christians hear the Quran, they cry because they realize that what is read in the Quran is true.
09:14 This happens to the king of Najashi.
09:18 When he hears the verses from Surah Maryam, he cries until his throat is wet.
09:26 So the king of Najashi is from the people of the Bible who, whenever the Quran is called,
09:33 he believes because he realizes that it is true.
09:36 It is from Allah.
09:38 So Allah gives this group to them Paradise.
09:43 Allah gives this group to them Paradise because they have believed in the Quran when it was sent to them.
09:54 But the people of the Bible, from the Christians, there are a second group, the disbelievers.
10:03 The disbelievers from the Christians are those who, whenever the Quran is sent to them, they reject it.
10:12 They even deceive the Prophet SAW.
10:15 They deceive the Quran by saying that it is not from Allah.
10:21 So for this group, the disbelievers, those who deny and those who deceive the Prophet SAW,
10:31 those who deceive the verses of Allah SWT, what is the end?
10:35 The end is those who are in Hell.
10:38 They will enter and will be in Hell.
10:43 Allah protects us all from the fire of Hell.
10:55 We will take a short break.
10:59 We will be back in a short while with My Quran Time, Quran Salat and Infah.

14:43 O believers, do not forbid what is good that Allah has made lawful to you.
14:51 Do not exceed the limits.
14:53 Allah does not like those who exceed the limits.
14:57 This is a call from Allah SWT to all of us,
15:01 that is, believers.
15:03 If we feel that we are believers,
15:05 then let us listen to this call and we act accordingly.
15:10 Ladies and gentlemen, in this verse, Allah SWT forbids us as believers
15:15 to forbid anything that is lawful that Allah has made lawful to us.
15:22 What is the connection between this verse and the story of the Ahli Kitab?
15:29 The interpreters, when explaining this verse, they say,
15:32 because if we look at the previous verse that tells about the Ahli Kitab,
15:37 there are some of the Ahli Kitab,
15:40 among them, there are some that we call the Ruhban.
15:44 These Ruhban are those who do a lot of worship.
15:47 So these Ruhban live separately from other people
15:52 because they are specializing their lives entirely to worship.
15:56 They do not get married.
15:58 Among the Fadiri-Fadiri, we know that they do not get married.
16:02 They forbid the worldly pleasures from them
16:05 because they want to get closer to Allah SWT.
16:09 So when this happens among the Ahli Kitab,
16:13 Allah wants to explain so that we as Muslims,
16:17 we have our own Shariat.
16:20 We do not follow other people's religion.
16:23 So to avoid some Muslims from living such a life,
16:28 because when they read the previous verses,
16:31 it seems that Allah praises this group.
16:34 So Allah wants to say that Islam has its own way.
16:37 Islam teaches us to be grateful for the blessings of Allah SWT.
16:42 Islam teaches us to accept what Allah has given us
16:46 by being grateful and using it in the right way.
16:52 Because of that, Allah wants to say to us,
16:55 you do not need to get closer to Allah SWT.
16:59 You do not need to be like that group.
17:02 No. Because Islam is a realistic religion.
17:06 A religion that teaches us to live together.
17:10 It teaches us to live easily.
17:13 Allah has made all these blessings for us.
17:17 So why do we forbid it?
17:19 Allah says, "O you who believe,
17:21 do not forbid good things that Allah SWT has made lawful to you."
17:29 So Allah wants to teach us not to forbid,
17:33 in the sense that we are reluctant to accept these blessings,
17:37 we are reluctant to eat these good things,
17:40 as a Taqoroban to Allah.
17:42 Because we want to get closer to Allah.
17:44 For example, he says,
17:46 I do not want to eat chicken for the rest of my life.
17:49 Because I like chicken the most.
17:51 But I do not want to eat it.
17:52 Why? As a form of worship.
17:54 As a form of worship, I want to get closer to Allah SWT.
17:56 So that is not allowed.
17:59 Because we cannot forbid something that Allah SWT has made lawful.
18:04 Because the right to forbid and make lawful is Allah's and not ours.
18:10 That is why this verse is one of the reasons for its revelation.
18:13 One of the reasons for the revelation of this verse,
18:15 is mentioned by the scholars of Tafsir.
18:17 There is a man who came to the Prophet SAW,
18:19 and said, "I forbid meat for myself."
18:23 "Why? Because if I eat meat, my lust will increase."
18:26 "I feel like I have to look for a woman."
18:28 He said, "So I forbid meat for myself."
18:31 At that time, Allah SWT said,
18:33 "O you who believe, do not make lawful the good things that Allah SWT has made lawful."
18:40 The same thing happened to the Prophet SAW in Surah Al-Tahrim.
18:46 When the Prophet SAW forbids himself to drink honey.
18:54 Allah SWT said in Surah Al-Tahrim,
18:56 "O Prophet, why do you forbid something that Allah has made lawful to you?"
19:04 Look.
19:05 In this verse, even the Prophet SAW himself cannot forbid what Allah SWT has made lawful.
19:11 So what are we?
19:13 We are just followers of the Prophet SAW.
19:17 But maybe you will have some questions.
19:19 For example, if you say, "I do not eat meat because of my lust."
19:26 For example.
19:28 Is that okay?
19:29 Before that, I want to clarify.
19:31 A doctor said, "You are forbidden to eat meat because of your lust."
19:34 "Ah, he is forbidden."
19:35 I am forbidden?
19:37 "Is there anything that forbids it?"
19:39 Okay.
19:40 The question is interesting.
19:42 When is it forbidden?
19:44 For example, if it is said that eating meat will really make you lustful.
19:50 For example, if we say, "You eat meat."
19:53 I think if you eat meat twice,
19:55 I think after this, you will do the funeral prayer.
19:58 If you reach that stage,
20:00 then there is lust in it,
20:02 then you cannot eat meat.
20:04 But we cannot,
20:06 without any reason,
20:08 then we forbid it,
20:10 then it is not allowed.
20:11 But if there is lust in it,
20:13 for example, if you eat durian,
20:15 two or three times is okay,
20:17 but if you eat five or six times,
20:18 I think it is not long, then it is a stroke.
20:20 So if there is lust in it,
20:22 then it is not allowed because there is lust in it.
20:25 But in general,
20:26 for example, if I do not want to eat durian,
20:28 because if I eat durian,
20:30 I feel lazy or I sleep too much,
20:34 then it is not allowed.
20:35 Why?
20:36 Because we cannot forbid something
20:39 based on our belief.
20:41 For example, if I do takarruban to Allah,
20:43 to get closer to Allah,
20:45 then it is not allowed.
20:47 We cannot do it like the Christians,
20:49 who do not get married,
20:51 because they want to be special to Allah.
20:55 That is why Prophet Muhammad SAW forbids us.
20:57 There is even a hadith that says,
20:59 Prophet Muhammad SAW said,
21:01 "Whoever is reluctant to do my sunnah,
21:07 he is not from my group."
21:09 And Prophet Muhammad SAW gave him food,
21:11 gave him drink,
21:13 and gave him
21:15 women.
21:19 So whoever forbids something
21:21 that is permitted by Allah SWT,
21:23 then it is included in this verse.
21:26 But,
21:27 "Do not exceed your limits."
21:32 That is what Allah SWT teaches us.
21:34 How do we want to interact with these people?
21:36 We do not forbid things that are permitted,
21:41 but we should not exceed our limits.
21:44 Allah gives us good things,
21:47 because bad things are forbidden by Allah SWT.
21:53 That is why I think,
21:54 if someone wants to be a vegan or vegetarian,
21:57 for example,
21:58 if it is based on health,
22:00 then it is allowed.
22:02 For example,
22:03 I want to choose only for health,
22:05 but as long as I do not believe that it is forbidden,
22:08 then it is allowed.
22:09 But if we look at this verse,
22:12 it is not in accordance with the verse.
22:14 It does not revive the culture of this verse.
22:17 Because when Allah forbids something,
22:19 it is good for us as long as we follow its rules.
22:23 Before we go further,
22:25 let's look at our choice today.
22:29 The word is "Razakah",
22:32 which means to give sustenance.
22:35 It is mentioned 123 times in the Quran.
22:40 It is mentioned in Surah Al-An'am,
22:42 verse 142,
22:43 Al-A'raf, verse 50,
22:45 Al-Anfal, verse 26.
22:47 I think this is a favorite word.
22:49 Many people use it to refer to sustenance.
22:52 This verse is mentioned in the verse,
22:54 "Wa kulu mimma razakakumullahu halalan tayyibat"
22:59 "Eat from what Allah has given you as sustenance,
23:03 from lawful things and good things."
23:07 Because not all things are lawful.
23:10 We have to understand.
23:11 Some are forbidden, some are lawful.
23:13 But Allah mentions in this verse,
23:15 "Eat from lawful things and good things."
23:20 But before that,
23:21 let's go back to verse 78.
23:23 "Do not forbid what Allah has made lawful,
23:27 and do not exceed the limits."
23:29 When we say exceed the limits,
23:31 the scholars say that exceeding the limits means
23:33 when we forbid something,
23:36 that is also considered exceeding the limits.
23:39 But in the same time,
23:41 if we are excessively wasteful,
23:44 if we eat a lot,
23:47 until we become weak,
23:49 even to the extent of wasteful,
23:52 that is also included in this verse.
23:54 Because Allah says, "Wa la ta'atadu."
23:56 For example, if a guest comes to us,
23:59 we should give him a sack of lentils.
24:01 For example, a sack of lentils.
24:03 Three people should come.
24:05 That is included in excess.
24:07 Indeed, Allah says,
24:08 "Yes, you need to honor the guest.
24:11 You should give the guest good food.
24:14 But do not exceed the limits until you give him a sack of lentils."
24:17 Then what do the rest of us do?
24:18 We throw it away.
24:19 So, we say,
24:21 in this verse,
24:22 "Wa la ta'atadu."
24:23 When we do good deeds,
24:24 we should do them according to the guidance.
24:27 Do not exceed the limits
24:29 and do not exceed the limits of wastefulness.
24:32 "Wa ladhina idha anfakuhu lam yusrifu walam yaqturu."
24:35 The group of the good servants of Allah,
24:38 when they give imfah,
24:40 they do not exceed the limits of wastefulness.
24:43 In the same time,
24:44 they are not excessively wasteful.
24:46 Ladies and gentlemen,
24:47 let's take a short break.
24:48 We will return to the Quran time,
24:49 Quran, prayer and imfah.

26:24 It is mentioned by Imam al-Nawawi in his book,
26:27 Riyad al-Sarhin,
26:28 in the chapter of repentance.
26:29 There are three ways of repentance to Allah SWT.
26:32 This is our sin with Allah.
26:34 The first is that we leave the sin.
26:37 The second is that we regret the truth.
26:39 We will not repeat it.
26:40 The third is that we repent the truth.
26:43 We will not repeat the sin.
26:46 So, regret, leave, repent.
26:49 But if the sin involves humans,
26:52 then, if it involves the property that has been wronged,
26:56 we have to return it.
26:57 For example,
26:58 if we have lied to someone in the investment,
27:00 not many,
27:01 but within 500 people,
27:03 we have to go and find that person,
27:04 apologize to him,
27:05 return it.
27:06 Don't even lose a cent from the property that we have.
27:09 We have lied to him.
27:10 That is important.
27:11 It is not about repentance.
27:13 It is okay to lie.
27:14 The important thing is to go to the mosque,
27:15 Tarawih 23,
27:16 or pray to Allah,
27:18 prostrate,
27:19 bow down on the floor,
27:20 because we have a lot of prostrations.
27:22 It is not meaningful in the sight of Allah,
27:23 if we do not do it.

43:56 Jadi, Tuan-Tuan dan Puan-Puan,
44:37 orang jamur kita macam-macam,
44:39 ataupun jamur kita adalah lauk, ayam, daging, apa semua,
44:42 kata, "Makanlah."
44:55 daging lembu, daging uncturnya, ayamnya, macam-macam.
45:00 Tetapi, kemudian kita kata, "Eh, saya tak naklah, saya tak nak."
45:15 Cuma, janganlah melampaui batas."
45:16 Itu sahaja syaratnya.
45:17 Jangan kamu melampaui batas.
45:19 Datang lauk ayam, makan ayam.
45:21 Datang daging, makan daging.
45:23 Tapi, kalau kamu tak suka, makan itu rasa nak muntah.
45:25 Itu lain ceritalah.
45:26 Tetapi, janganlah kamu menolak.
45:28 Selagi mana ia tidak memberi kamu sebarang mudarat,
45:30 maka janganlah kamu menolak apa saja yang Allah berikan
45:32 daripada rezeki yang halal dan baik.
45:36 Halalan tayyibah.
45:46 jadi, kalau orang tawar,
45:48 makan durian, tidak ada masalah.
45:50 Jadi, ini termasuklah di dalam ayat ini.
45:52 Kita kata, bukan "al-amruhuna laisalil wujud".
45:55 Perintah di sini bukanlah kata wajib.
45:58 Tidak. Tetapi, "lil-ibaha".
46:00 Allah membenarkan.
46:01 Bila Allah membenarkan, maka kita terimalah pemberian Allah SWT.
46:35 Maka, bila mana mereka mendengar amalan Nabi SAW,
46:56 Tetapi kita, kita tidaklah lagi, kita kata,
47:00 apa nama, kita adalah seorang khotbah.
47:03 Kita banyak berbuat dosa.
47:04 Jadi, dikata, kata tiga orang ini,
47:06 salah seorang daripada mereka mengatakan,
47:08 "Aku akan semayang pada setiap malam."
47:11 "Fa inni usalli al-layla ahbadan."
47:15 Dia akan sepanjang malam dia akan sholat.
47:17 Seorang lagi kata, "Aku akan puasa sepanjang tahun."
47:21 Seorang lagi kata, "Aku akan meninggalkan wanita."
47:25 Bila mana perkara itu datang,
47:27 didengar oleh Nabi SAW,
47:29 maka Nabi SAW bertanya,
47:46 Tetapi Nabi SAW kata, "Aku pun berpuasa."
48:04 Kemudian Nabi SAW sebut,
48:06 "Fa man ra'iba'an sunnati fa'alaihi sallamin."
48:42 "Inna allaha yuhibbu an yara'i it asrani'matihi ala abdihi."
48:55 Janganlah pakai baju bagoda keluar, pakai baju bagoda saja kau.
48:59 Sebab apa? Zuhud.
49:17 "Oh, saya sebab nak zuhud, beli kereta sebulan sekali hantar bingkil."
49:27 "Tiap-tiap bulan hantar bingkil."
49:47 "Oh, aku banyak duit." Bukan seperti itu.
49:48 Tetapi kita pakai kerana nak menghargai pemberian Allah.
50:15 Kita terimalah pemberian Allah SWT.
51:07 kita jadi kurang sihat.
52:03 Alhamdulillah, kita dah dengar bacaan tiga ayat.
