Nate Oats gives his opening thoughts on taking on Tennessee
Transcript
00:00 Yeah, it's a big stretch here for us with Tennessee and Auburn back to back.
00:06 I mean, those are two of the top teams in the SEC.
00:10 If we're gonna have any chance of winning the SEC, we gotta play well here in these
00:12 two games.
00:13 So it's not easy to win in Tennessee.
00:15 I think we've only lost five times at home in the last four years.
00:20 So it's a tough place to play.
00:23 They're a very good team, one of the best teams in the country.
00:27 And we're both playing for conference championship.
00:33 They got one loss and we don't have a loss and Auburn's undefeated as well.
00:38 So we're gonna have to play well.
00:41 They do a good job turning people over.
00:43 They're super physical.
00:44 We didn't handle it well up there last year.
00:46 We only had two losses in league last year.
00:50 And this was one of the two was up there.
00:53 So our guys, and we've had an issue with turnover.
00:56 So we've got to do a good job taking care of the ball up there and what we have in the
01:00 past and we're gonna have to obviously guard, throw and connect.
01:04 I mean, he's put on quite a show here these last three and I think he's had three straight
01:09 games so over 28, which scoring at a high level back to back 35 point games or 35 plus.
01:18 So the issue is if you focus your entire defense on him, they've got other really good players
01:26 I mean, Vescovy is one of the best guards in the league.
01:28 He's been here.
01:29 Ziegler's one of the best guards in the league.
01:30 He's been there.
01:31 You know, a Duke can score it.
01:34 James is played well.
01:37 They've got multiple guys that can score it.
01:39 So it's hard to just completely focus on Dalton, but you've got to focus on him because he's
01:46 scoring the ball at a high clip right now.
