00:00 Hi, it's Henry here for the Lancashire Evening Post. We're going to go out and about and do some reporting
00:05 and find out what the people of Lancashire have been watching on the small screen and on the big
00:10 screen because awards season is well underway. We want to know if you were watching Barbie
00:16 or Oppenheimer in the summer, what you got tipped for the awards this year. Let's go.
00:22 What is the best thing you've seen on a screen in the past year?
00:26 I liked the Barbie movie. That was good. What did it for you in the Barbie movie?
00:31 Um, I just thought, I thought it was good because it was a good balance of like,
00:36 it was good fun to watch but it actually had like a meaningful message as well so I thought that was quite good.
00:41 It's award season. Awards season. Lots of awards, film awards, TV awards. Right.
00:46 What's the best thing you've seen on a screen in the last year?
00:51 That's very good. It's a really weird one. It's an Apple TV documentary, My Mind and Me. It's all
01:00 about Selena Gomez. That brought me to the edge of tears. I don't cry a lot of stuff but that did.
01:05 That was amazing. You'd recommend it then, yeah? Oh, 100%. What about on the big screen? Have you been to the cinema?
01:12 I've not been to the cinema in a very long time, no. The one thing I do want to go and see is the new
01:15 Hunger Games. The Ballad of Sons vs. Snakes. That was really good and I've watched like all the original
01:23 ones with Jennifer Lawrence, all of that, many, many times. That's one that I really want to go and look at.
01:27 I know Barbie vs. Oppenheimer was massive. Did you see any of those? I didn't see any of them but I've
01:32 only seen the one I prefer to go and see. What, Barbie? Oppenheimer. Oh, come on. Oh yeah, of course I want to go and see Barbie.
01:38 Is there anything that's really stood out for you on the big or small screen lately this past year?
01:44 I haven't seen anything in particular. I mean, I saw the midsummer break.
01:49 Yeah, but you weren't a part of the Barbie, Oppenheimer fad in the summer? I did see Oppenheimer. Thoughts?
01:55 Very recently I was quite a bit shocked at the re-invent of it.
01:59 Okay, what improvements would you make? Christopher Nolan might see this.
02:02 Oh really? Oh right, I think it was a bit light, lightweight really. I think it could be discussed.
02:11 Did you want more? I mean it was over three hours as it was. No, not more, it's just the content.
02:16 I don't want it to be light on content. Okay, and you weren't into Barbie? Not really, no. Not my sort of interest.
